Unsolicited Information

Hi everyone!

I was wondering about the "Unsolicited Information" section that appears under DOCUMENTS when you log in to check your case status. Here's what it looks like:

Unsolicited information

You may upload documents that we did not request from you. If you upload additional evidence, USCIS is not required to review or accept these documents when making a decision about your case.

Has anyone done this? I know they might not look at the information, but I never submitted wedding photos when I originally applied for our CR-1 visa (I-130 document) and was thinking I could add them now. Anyone have experience with whether it's a good idea, a bad idea,or a neutral one?

Thank you!

Ah hoping for an answer to this too! We just got our NOA1 but didn't really send any photos, because we were told it wasn't needed.

Just curious, who told you it wasn't needed? If that's the case, that makes me feel better! A few weeks after I sent our application off, I was regretting my decision to not include them 😬😬

If they need more evidence they will RFE.  You can also submit more at the NVC stage.

If you sent other types of evidence then I wouldn’t worry. But like NikLR says, if you get an RFE for more evidence then you can include photos. If your petition is approved without an RFE then you can send pictures and other evidence you would like to include at the NVC stage :)
