Issued! Now what?

hey everyone! I had my interview last week and they accepted it on the condition that my medical was received. This was sent to the embassy Thursday and today on the CEAC website my status changed to "issued"! I am super happy about this, however it says my visa will be sent in the next 10 days. My visa isn't being sent to my home address and instead I have to pick it up from Bristol, so I'm wondering how I will know when this has arrived? Do they call or does my status change or something?

 

Also they advised me they will be sending my passport back, does this go directly to my home address or do i pick this up alongside my visa from Bristol?

 

Any help would be appreciated!

I’m not sure about the details for you receiving your passport, but visas are generally affixed (with adhesive) to a page inside the passport.

The courier will email you once they get the visa and passport turned over to them from the embassy. The email will provide the information on when to pick up in Bristol. Usually it is the day after you get the email. The visa covers a whole page of your passport and is glued down. 
 

If this is a K1 visa, there will also be a white envelope with all your files. It will say “do not open”. So you open the outside courier wrapper to get your passport, but leave the white envelope sealed. 
 

Youmight have pickup Friday or Monday. Not sure ifBristol is open on weekends.

Yes that is for K1. Thank you so much, that's really helpful. I believe it is open on weekends. That's sooner than I though so super excited to get that! Thanks again.
