Hi all, received my Documentary Qualified (DQ) letter on November 22, 2019.
What has been your experience on wait times to receive the interview date for the embassy in Cairo?

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

Thank you - trying to get a rough estimate on current timing - I’m thinking May or June for IL for my husband, maybe.

From the timelines I have seen, looks like 5-7 months for an interview. Around 170 days on average.  If you could fill out your timeline that would be great, I’m really interested to see when your husband gets his interview.  I just submitted our packages to NVC last week so haven’t been DQ yet, but I’m thinking my husband’s interview will be in September or October (hopefully sooner but not getting my hopes up).  Having dealt with the Cairo embassy when filing our daughter’s CRBA, nothing goes quickly or easily there...

Wishing you and everyone else the best!

Thank you, yes I am now thinking May or June  and not the 60-90 days from DQ the government implies.
where can I fill out my timeline?

Hi, just click on Menu and then Immigration Timelines and then Add/Edit your entry.

On another thread it looks like people who were DQ in August still haven’t gotten their interview letters so it is really taking a long time :(  Hopefully things start speeding up in Cairo...

Ok thank you! Will add my timeline. Ya Jeeze I hope they get their IL by end of this month or early next. This is a bit crazy isn’t it.
My friend told me it’s taking long because the USA government cut staffing in the embassies :(
