Waited the two years to apply for my Nigerian husband and now...

If I'm understanding the new immigration ban correctly, applying for an immigration visa for my husband is no longer an option. Needless to say, I'm utterly heartbroken. We currently live abroad, but had plans to move to the U.S. in two years and wanted to get the ball rolling now. Not sure what to do now. Any advice or suggestions?

You can still submit i130.. get the ball rolling, you never know it might change.. 

 

short of that, it’s an unfortunate situation, not really much you can do... possibly look at other visa options? Employment based, study?

I would apply anyway, and request a waiver if needed when the time comes.  This is an election year, so the executive proclamations such as travel bans may be reversed.

File I-130,since you both abroad distance and time is on your side... You can continue to build your family while waiting for changes... Believe me it's a luxury that a lot of people here can't afford... Enjoy it
