After sending to lockbox..where do all these apps go?

I'm kind of confused about all this..

I live in Texas..sent my husband's stuff to the Missouri Service Center via the Chicago lockbox I guess. So does my case then get transferred to the Texas service center or what? I was looking at the timelines and the MSC is processing EAD with a date of 20 Jan, but Texas is processing 17 Feb. My date is 15 Feb on my NOA's for all that. All my NOA's have MSC at the beginning of them, so I know they were initiated in Missouri..but where do they go from there? An immigration attorney here in Dallas that I was casually speaking to seemed surprised that I was having to wait 3 months for EAD, but I told him my husband wasn't going through the DORA Program (Dallas Rapid Adjustment..((not so rapid!)) program ) and he said it should go alot faster..anyways all this has now confused us royally!

All of the files will be eventually routed to your local office, about a month before your interview, as far as I understand. Good luck!!!!

If you just talkng about th EAD, it will be approved by the MSC. If you are talking about the I485, it will be transferred to yor local office. After all, they have to have a face-to-face interview.

I had the same sort of question. We filed my AOS at the beginning of the month, I am from Canada, but am now here in the U.S. with my hubby. We got our NOA1, but it also seems as though our case is at the MSC, which I was a little surprised about because I thought that it would have been at the Vermont Service Center??

Your file is sent to Chicago and checked for accuracy and whatnot. They send it onto the NBC (National Benefits Center) in Missouri where your EAD and AP are processed if they are there, and your biometrics interview is scheduled. Your application is essentially processed there, name checks started, information bundled together nicely. The I-130 is perused also.

When an interview space comes up at your district office, your application is transferred over and a notice is sent to you about the interview. It's at your district office for your interview, where the officer can review it.

So, in short form:

1) Lockbox

2) NBC/Missouri

3) District Office
