Hi all, my case was denied about a month ago, i did not provide the information required, ( an arrest report from the UK, i still have not yet received it from the UK) so my attorney advised when i receive it we could file motion to re open...however as i have not yet received it i had a letter saying that my file was abandoned.

So as you can imagine after a year and 8 months im pretty annoyed having to have to refile and start all over again.

However, i had a letter from the immigration saying that i need to go get my biometrics took at the application center. Now i was really confused, i went down today and had my picture took and my fingerprint and the man who helped me said it was for my green card and i should receive it real soon.

So now im left baffled, will i be getting my green card and for some reason i got approved after being denied?

I'll travel 'round the seven seas for you

It's written in the melody i adore you

I wrote my love a symphony

To show you there's nothing i won't do

Baby i'll walk around the china wall for you

If there's a way i'll do it all for you

Anything you want me to, you know i would do

Hmm... weird!

All I can say is that sometimes it's best not to question things and just go along with it.

Who knows, maybe they did a background check or something happened and they approved you.

I hope you get your GC and that everything works out!

Did you refile for your green card? If so this is the bio appointment for that. As for the person saying you will get your green card soon, he probably doesn't know what he is talking about.

I needed to get a court record from when I was once arrested and contacted the courthouse where I had attended. They mailed me the court/arrest record within a week.

Maybe the attorney did that, because he is really bad, i think they should have on here a good guy/bad guy attorney list for the area ppl live in

DonJuan,

I think that the biometric appointments are set by a group of clerical peopleseparate from and independent of the case adjudicators. It would be a waste of a more highly trained and skilled person's time to have the adjudicator's be scheduling, and probably less efficient on the scheduling function as well.

So, I would not be surprised if the person who scheduled your biometrics appointment had no idea what the status of your case is - they know only that you have submitted an AOS application and that part of the process is to schedule a biometrics appointment for you, and so they did.

Similarly for the people who are at the ASC where the biometrics was done. The people who do the work may not have full access to your data, and may not even be USCIS employees, only contractors working under USCIS site management.
