Hello. Due to the trump ban on Nigeria immigrants visa which starts on Feb 22nd, me and my wife will still be filling for the CR1 visa and just wait to see what happens BUT,we are also thinking of applying for Canada student visa as an option B so we can be toy while waiting on the ban to be lifted. Can we apply for visa to both countries at the same time since it’s a different kind of visa??? You contribution will be so much appreciated. Thanks

I never said it would be approved.

When you apply for Canada Tourist visa make sure you say that you were denied a US B2.   US and Canada share info.   My wife had the same denial but still got a Canadian Visa.  She was also denied a Mexican Visitor but now she has a green card for the US and Mexico.

Well. You can apply if you meet the conditions, have you looked at them? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/eligibility.html You have been accepted into a program and can prove you have the funds to pay and that you will return home after? What is plan B for if you finish your studies and the ban is not lifted?
