Would you normally ask someone to marry you after just 3 months of dating? You have to get married if you want to file a CR1, or state that you plan to get married if you file a K1. It's a big commitment.

Technically you can file for a K1 right now, or get married today and file for a CR1. You will need to collect a lot more evidence and spend a lot more time together before the interview though.

All that is need to apply is one day of marriage.  Then you get to wait for the petition to be adjudicated.   7 to 12 months.

Processing times are much longer now unfortunately.

im not expert, but in you situation you should get to know each other first and apply for CR1. if you go for the K1 at this stage of your relationship.. the consulate officer will burn you in the interview.

CR1 takes longer but it will give you both time to get to know each other and build a relationship. K1 is faster but requires more proof of relationship, so which it means the interview will likely be intense and longer.

You're right. You can hardly call that dating.

OP, slow down. Before making plans for immigration, you need to build your relationship, really get to know each other, and then decide what works best for you.

What country are you from?

edit: I just saw you are from Jordan. You should check out the Jordan portal for more info for your embassy but I’m thinking you are going to need way more than 1 visit and 3 months of dating for an approval...

That's an obvious thing my friend. I'm not sure why you keep dodging my questions though.

He's not dodging your Qs.  You aren't getting the bigger picture of the issues you face here.

Your hilarious. Obviously we didn't get married lol. That's why I signed up here and asked for help before doing anything. Now I'm having second thoughts about this place. Seems a little toxic to communicate with people here.

VJ is the best self-help source of immigration help available.  People ask you questions because there are many aspects to consider when starting this process.  Immigration DEMANDS a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and money.........

EDIT:  Most people here don't sugar coat answers....

I'm new here. We are going to wait longer and she obviously will visit me more before applying. The whole reason of my post was out of curiosity.  I know people who only met for few months and got married on the first visit and there wasn't no problems because they showed proof of a good relationship. Seems like others got it twisted and started grilling me instead of giving me normal answers.

I'm sorry we didn't give you the answers you wanted to hear.

What works best for you depends on a lot of factors, and people are asking you questions because you are not giving us much information that would help us to help you. If you don't want to answer those questions, use this website to do your own research. Read the guides, browse the forums including the regional forum.

But first, get to know this person before planning a wedding and an immigration path.

Sometimes, a completely accurate answer depends on knowing more information.  No one here wants you to fail.  Most of us have been through this process, and we have seen every situation you could imagine.

What more Information I need to provide exactly? So I can edit my post.

We do know each other. It might look the opposite on your side because It was a short time but It's understandable.

Not sure what else you want to hear. People explained the differences between K1 and CR1, referred you to the guides, explained that your chances of approval depend on a lot of factors, and that more face time is needed.

Good luck.
