UPDATE:

RFEs for the kids and my AOS. No idea what it could be.

was not expecting this at all, as I have only expedited my EAD

hmmmmm

So RFE on the I-485?

This happened to a couple of people in the main expedite thread. Have a look in there for some experiences.

My understanding (from my congressperson) is that your underlying I-485 has to be complete in order for the EAD to be issued. So once you respond to the RFE and they process it, I guess your expedite will be processed.

Good luck!

Hopefully one of those "send us all your evidence and we'll give you your greencard without interview" letters

DMVs in Mississippi will finally open up again next week. So hopefully by Tuesday I'll be one step closer to being a functional member of society again 😂

omg don't even get me started on the DMV. The EAD is just one part of the struggle ha. I really hope they open up near me soon....only have a week of transport left at this point.

I’d be thankful for that - but the EAD is my biggest concern right now

Hey guys, I hope everyone is keeping safe, healthy and feeling well during this process! 🙂 I randomly had an instinct today to check the old website for any updates on my GC case (my interview was scheduled in April but then cancelled) and my EAD was changed today to, ‘new card is being produced’!

Such a surprise because I didn’t expedite, just been ‘patiently’ 🙄 waiting for some progress to be made.

For anyone who is interested, I will detail the next stages/notifications from here. The new website doesn’t show the update at this time and I haven’t had my usual email alert.

So it’s worth manually checking your case numbers on this website too:

Best of luck and wishing everyone else speedy processing vibes! ❤️

Ooohhh congrats ❤️ That’s so awesome, you must be so excited!!! I’m looking forward to some more movement especially with the offices opening tomorrow. We’ll be rolling again soon everyone!l yay 😊

Thank you! ❤️🌈 I’m honestly really surprised. I’m not sure why I had the urge to look today but I’m glad I did. I hope we also get a new interview date soon. But I’m practicing patience and trusting the timing of it all.  I’d just really love to be able to drive and start making some friends here in real life haha.

I hope you get some good news soon too! 🤞🏽

So my RFE is under my I-485 and my EAD shows ‘additional info received’. Does this mean that processing of my EAD will not continue until the RFE is satisfied? Does anyone know?

Probably yes because the I-485 is the underlying application.

Can’t imagine what it could be about. I’ve literally sent them everything. Frustrated.

I got an RFE for my.....marriage certificate. I 100% sent them an official notarized version so I have no idea how they lost perhaps the most important document in the filing. Who knows, that office must be complete mayhem.

Ugh I’m so sorry that’s super frustrating.. I’m sure it wasn’t an error on your side, sometimes stuff gets lost. I know that doesn’t really help you, but I’m sure it’s a quick and easy fix and since you already have an expedite approval the EAD is probably gonna get approved as soon as they receive your RFE response 🧡🙏
