I was thinking about trying the same thing. Why wouldn't they transfer you?

Did you get anywhere today? I called and was finally out through to Tier 2. Actually they had to call me back because current wait time was 372 minutes or something. Ha

The gentleman that called me back was super nice. He put through a request to the agent who has my file for an “update” and put a note saying that I am supposed to start work on June 1.
he did say that it had an action date and it would be done by June 10th.

Not AMAZING news but, news nonetheless.

also, I asked him about the potential furloughs. He didn’t seem to know too much about it. Don’t know if he just didn’t want to comment or legitimately didn’t not know. Haha

also, I asked what the hours were for processing agents and he said it all depends on where you are in the country as he said they were “nationwide”. That sent me for a loop as I thought the agents processing our cases were at the NBC

Gah, who knows.

I didn't. What did you say to get through to a Tier 2 officer?

I will try again tomorrow morning first thing and let you know how it goes.

I cut to the chase - just asked for tier 2 and the girl was more than happy to transfer me.

And the fortune cookie was right. The company I applied for just called that they want me. Have to go to the store tomorrow to get everything ready for the background check and as soon as that is cleared I'll get the official offer and the start date 🎉🎉🎉

Congrats!!!!

Hey guys -

for the expedite did you print their email as the cover letter or just faxed the info to them directly?

they never sent me an email but I called the call center and apparently they sent a request for supporting docs, and she gave me the fax number. I missed the call from a tier 2 officer whom I was going to ask to resend the email (i think they sent it to the wrong email because I checked everywhere).

anyways should I just fax the docs anyways without the email? I can include the expedite request confirmation number.

You could do as you suggested and send what they need with a reference to your exposure request number. However, how do you know what they are needing? If you know, def send it along with your request ticket number

good luck!

Gah, who knows.

I just spoke to a Tier 2. Super nice person, not a ton of information :)

Basically, officers have 30 days to adjudicate a case once an expedite is approved...that is all the information I got.

Woke up to great news! Sent a request to expedite my husband’s EAD on Wednesday night and by Thursday morning received an email asking for proof of job offer. We sent it over that night and today woke up to new card is being produced :) I don’t know it was because of the expedite request or it was approved without it but great news regardless!!

Wow, thats awesome.  Can I ask if you requested with anything more than a job offer?

They are really nice, I’ll give them that.

So, with your situation, If your permit expires before you receive your EAD - can you just not work for the couple of weeks until the EAD arrives without losing your job completely?

I’m very late to this party, but finally looked up the January 2020 AOS thread to join in! Got my green card interview scheduled ridiculously fast after applying, but that doesn’t help when ms. Rona decided to cancel everything 😕

Unfortunately very, very unlikely :(

That is terrible. I don’t know what kind of line of work you are in, my only suggestion is to keep them in the loop about your application, how you've expedited it and you’re doing everything possible. Ugh. I’m so sorry.
