Hi! Do you have kids here too? I have 2 (13 & 9). Husband is considered essential so no real quality time with him, but lots with the kids due to school being out (just a wee bit o’ sarcasm there 😂😂)

No kids yet - we have our church wedding in 2021 in Ireland so waiting until after that! I have so much admiration for the parents at home with kids right now 😂

Hey guys - hope everyone is hanging in there!

USCIS just announced they are extending their office closure to June 4 🥺

The wording is a bit different this time. It says they prepare to reopen by June 4. Maybe they'll start sending out interview letters this time.

It’s interesting, that’s for sure. I could not imagine if this were the case and I were working. I sure hope things go back to normal before the next school year.

That’s what I gathered too. They usually give about 4-6 weeks notice for bio and interviews, so perhaps first interviews wand biometrics appt will be on June  4 if they start sending notifications soon.

Oh wow. This could be a two-edge sword. Either more interview delays :( or approvals without interviews :)  who knows.

I hope so! But my husband is in “case is ready to be scheduled for interview” status and I think there has only been one approval so far (not 100 % positive but I saw it on FB) where they went from ready to schedule to case approved. Hoping that happens to us too, but Seattle is notorious for backlogs!

I remember when I used to be excited as the expected approval date was getting nearer and nearer. I don’t even check anymore. Assuming mine is the same as yours as my receipt date is Jan 27.

I was actually expecting to get an interview appointment letter end April/ early May. Little did I know back then 😂

At least I can say that my EAD expedite got approved and EAD/ AP are both now on case approved.

That's so awesome!! Congratulations on the approval. And THANK YOU for your positive, funny and uplifting energy. It's much appreciated and one of my favorite parts of being part of the January filers! 🌈🧚‍♀️

Haha same 😄 (About the expectation, not the EAD expedite haha) We‘ll be alright this whole thing is not gonna last forever :) Wouldn’t be surprised if it actually starts moving forward again and the dates get better and better @beefmaster . Besides, we’re all getting our Greencard before August, remember? 😁🌈🧡
