We got our stimulus check yesterday too so I felt like that was my consolation prize - think this is better! I've been putting my various status updates in the comments section of my AOS timeline. Will keep on doing that & updating you guys as I see things change/happen. And when I have the card in hand. I'm way more excited than I should be given everything is still on lockdown so I can't get much use out a green card at the moment 😆 But it at least feels like a more proper legal status and I feel more secure with it. Now to make sure we compile evidence going forward for the ROC interview that I imagine will not be waived.

I have a question regarding the stimulation check. I don’t think I get one. I don’t have an SSN 😞 did you get a SSN beforehand?

It's about how you filed the 2019 taxes. If you filed jointly you'll get the check. If you filed seperatly or didn't filed yet then they'll look at the 2018 taxes that your now husband probably filed as single if you weren't married by that time.

If you don't get the check now you can amend that when you file the 2020 taxes next year and get the money then.

Thank you. That’s great to know.

I don’t have an SSN, nor do my 2 kids. We went to H & R Block to get our taxes done and they suggested we wait as my husband would not be able to claim us. And the SSN office would not issue us one as we had already submitted the I-485 with an SSN request.

I still feel as though we were given some false info along the way. We are NEVER late to file, and having gone this long already feels ‘off’.

thank you for the information you provided me! I am so so happy your app was approved today. Gives me great hope!!

Yeah, I got my SSN before my 90 days came up, and so our most recent taxes were filed jointly.

You and your husband file an amended tax return after the fact, though, as far as I understand - like @Letspaintcookies said - so you may not lose out in the long run.

Checked with the USCIS website and since a April 2/2020 both of my Sons 1-765 say “Your benefit request has been accepted and is under review“ but the app still says “case received”. Has anyone experienced this before?

Just got an i-485 update this morning: new card is being produced!

Looks like the interview was waived for me. It should have happened yesterday 🥳

When did you get your update "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" We got that update 4/2 but nothing so far in the mail and still haven't recieved the combo card or any update on it

Check out my timeline, I've put when I received status changes etc. in the comments under my AOS section. :)

You won't get any mail from USCIS when you get a "ready to schedule" update - only when it's actually scheduled (and they send you an appointment date) or they approve you without one. Ready to schedule just means your local office has your file and will schedule (or approve) you when their availability allows.

I haven't had any status updates or movement on me EAD/AP since biometrics, and I got my SSN before I filed. If you checked the box for a SSN in your AOS papers you won't get it until after your green card arrives afaik.

Question...... So my last update was on 4/2 "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" but haven't received any update on the combo card or ss card. Is this normal?

Yes. The aos interview is separated from the EAD process and though that USCIS is still working behind closed doors everything seemed to slowed down during the last weeks.

It doesn't have to be that way. People with faster processing offices often get their greencard and never see the EAD before.

And you won't get a interview date until the USCIS offices open again for public.
