Cabin fever hit me. This morning I woke up and was like: no I can't do that anymore. I'm going crazy!

Luckily we have awesome weather the whole time so I got up, got dresses, got into my rollerskates and skated through the neighborhood for about an hour.

Argh, why didn't I think of this?? I've got rollerskates and a set of outdoor wheels I could swap my derby wheels out for and have a zip around! It feels like forever since I skated! THANK YOU! 😆

You played derby? Me too 😍 brought all my gear just to find out that the next team is about an hour drive away 😣

But yea, go for it. Still fun just to skate around even without hitting somebody 😂

Yay, a fellow derby girl! :) I'm very lucky that there's a big women's team in my city (and a men's team too so there's lots of skating going on), and they practice about 10 minutes away from where we live. I was just waiting for the snow to be gone here before I joined them and everything went into lockdown 😭At least it gives me time to try and get fit so I can be a little less slow and podgy by the time I join up.

So cool. I'm totally jealous 😁 So I guess we'll meet next year in St. Louis to watch the men's world cup?! 😄

@Letspaintcookies. Our AOS interview was waived  today and Ryan was approved with card in production.
I’m not sure January filers have seen my post or not.
Keep up your hope that it may be approved quicker than you think.
I pray all of you experience the same.
And wish you the best 🙏🎊❤️!

This is amazing! So happy for you guys. CONGRATULATIONS!! 🌻🤩🌻🤩

Hi, glad to see peoples optimism and kindness in this thread, it really helps:)

I'm still waiting for my EAD, had update with fingerprints taken February 14th, but its been quiet ever since😬. I have a job offer waiting for me,  its a "homeoffice" job I'm gonna do for a Norwegian firm. Recently my husband was laid off because of covid19, and I'm wondering if there's any point trying to expedite my EAD now? Is it even worth trying? I don't have the contract yet but I'm able to get that pretty fast.

Stay safe everyone 🙏 🧡

Absolutely! Go for it. It's free and won't hurt your case if denied. All you need is a written job offer

Hi everyone, does anyone know what the impact of my husband having to now file for unemployment because of COVID could be on my green card? 😔

We filed without a joint sponsor because he met the income requirements at the time and we were supposed to have our interview on Thursday this week, so I’m feeling frustrated and kinda hopeless now. Not my usual optimism I know. 😔

I don't have my EAD/AP yet so I’m  feeling helpless that I can’t do anything to contribute at this difficult time.

Are there any relevant threads in another area of VJ that anyone can point me in the right direction of please?

I’m saying this message to myself as much as anyone else, HANG IN THERE! Better days are coming 🌺🌸🤞🏽

Filing for unemployment has no effect to the public charge rule so you don't need to worry about that. When it comes to interview time you'll still have to show that your husband can support you and if he doesn't have a new job by then you'll need a joint sponsor.

I'm still crossing my fingers that you'll get the interview waived since you already had one scheduled and that seems to be the pattern.

Thank you for your message and for keeping your fingers crossed for us.

I went to the mailbox this morning and saw a letter from USCIS (my heart definitely fluttered for a moment) and it says that my fingerprints can be used for my travel permit and that I won’t need to have further biometrics done but my fingerprint fee won’t be refunded. It was confusing honestly the way it was worded but I’m hopeful it means maybe my EAD/AP are still being processed even if the GC is on pause 🙂

I will update on here if there are any further updates. I’m wishing everyone else to get some good news soon too! Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Photos of celebrations are welcomed 🌈🐰

They won't stop the EAD process until you get the greencard send to you. That's when they close the case not before

thanks! unfortunately we received an RFIE today for the i-485.  Does that effect the EAD process? I should probably wait with the expedite process till this is fixed I guess? DOnt know what its about yet, any point trying to call them about this?

Yea EAD will be on hold until the RFIE is solved. They won't tell you over the phone what it is about. You'll have to wait for the letter

Ok, thank you so much.  I'm trying to focus on the fact they're at least working on it...but honestly a bit disappointed,  really thought we had added everything they asked for. 😑
