That's weird. I've only seen those IOE numbers for online filed I-130 for CR1 applications.

Right?! I can’t even add it to myUSCIS.gov account because it asks me for an online code. Soooo confuses. Also, I so badly want to say “can we not focus on the kids right now, aged 9 & 13, and worry about me right now?” Lol lol

Received an email status update this afternoon telling me that my interview (15th April, Milwaukee) has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. 😞

Was expecting this given what's happening at the moment, but it's still a disappointment.

I’m sorry to hear that. It certainly is a disappointment.   😔

My interview is scheduled for 16th April in Spokane, WA and I imagine I will soon receive the same sort of notification.

I wouldn't mind so much if we were told roughly when it would be rescheduled for but it’s the not knowing that drives me crazy and feeling so close to the finish line but then it being pushed back to an unknown time... for me at least, that’s the hardest part. Especially when we are struggling financially and my husband’s business is collapsing around us now because of this.

When these feelings of disappointment or intense worry up though, I try to remind myself that at least I am finally here with my husband and our dog. I imagine it would be so much worse being separated from them and not knowing when or if I could get over here at all.

Hang on in there guys, we will all get there eventually and what a sweet feeling of relief it will be, when things start going back to ‘normal’.

❤️🌈

Exactly!!! Imagine being in the K1 process right now... I feel so bad for these guys!!! At least we’re here and can go through this tough time together with our husbands/wives 🧡 I mean we have zero income because of this whole thing but we’re healthy, happy and positive with a lot of faith and patience and I think this is the way to get through it - at least for us (baby loves all the extra time with mom & dad too 😁) - stay safe everyone

Whoa. Great perspective!! You’re right. If I had to go through this in solidarity - it could be much worse.

Sorry to everyone who has had their interviews rescheduled :( Try to focus on the fact that when everything goes back to somewhat normal, you will be at the front of the line for an interview :)

So what has everyone been doing to stay sane/occupied during the quarantine?

Interesting and quick way to test how compatible you and your new spouse are, being stuck together 24/7 indefinitely, that's for sure!

Ain’t that the truth.  We are struggling honestly, so many things going badly in a short space of time. We may have to move from our home and my husband is likely soon to be unemployed because of the corona virus. 😔 I’m happy I can be here to support him but at the same time It’s certainly putting a strain on our new marriage.

As for being busy/occupied/sane I’m doing a lot of reading, learning Spanish, daily nature walks and cuddling my dog watching movies at night.

How about everyone else? 😌

Ouch, sorry you & spouse are having such a difficult time @Meg101 :(

I feel very lucky that with husband able to 100% WFH, and our savings, we can afford for me to be out of work indefinitely. I'm a little worried about my career prospects as time ticks on (still no sign of the EAD) but I doubt I'd even find a job in my field right now with the virus situation anyway. Just was starting to gear up to ending my immigration-caused social isolation and now we all have to deal with coronavirus social isolation. I know it is for the good of everyone, but it still sucks that we're all in this boat.

As for how to stay sane in these times... I started journalling (by hand, in an actual paper notebook) back in January and I'm finding that writing things down at the end of the day is a good way to healthily deal with frustrations and work through feelings. I cannot recommend it enough, especially to people who are particularly struggling. I started it as a way to keep my brain organised without a work routine, and it's become such a good wellness tool. I also took up artisan baking so I've been making at least 2 loaves of sourdough a week, and that's on top of my cake/brownie baking habit. Baking is very much a stress relief for me :) Hopefully ingredients are getting a little easier to come by now the initial panic rush is dying down! Otherwise, my current escapism is playing The Sims on my PC - it's silly fun but quite addictive. Every time I build a new house in-game my husband peers over and asks if that's what I want to live in when we buy next year 😆

Just got a notification of a status update after my interview cancellation notice yesterday. Looks like I am back to "ready to schedule interview".

Fingers crossed things get under control by the time USCIS offices are scheduled to reopen again (May 4th).

I initially followed this recipehttps://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/sourdough-starter-recipe when I started baking. However, for my current starter I began with much smaller amounts because 113g of flour every time is way too much! You can safely start out by making a starter that is something like 25g of flour and 25g of water and then continue following the steps they suggest with this smaller amount each time. Especially as flour seems to be in short supply these days!

I can sympathize 100%. We were supposed to be getting our own mortgage a few months ago. Living with relatives and that has been a nightmare thus far. Major strain. Now, having 2 kids home schooling, uncertainty about my husbands employment - ughhhh. Hate to sound ungrateful but seriously, I’ve never wanted to work and get outta here so bad in my life.

ive been crocheting up a storm. Anything to keep me from living inside my own head.

ill hang in there, if you promise to do so too 😉
