Hi peeps,

I finally got my combo card (it’s had been sitting at the lease office since 02/26 but I didn’t know it was there until yesterday’s status update)

The thing is, there’s a typo on the card (gender F instead of M). We still don’t know who made the mistake, but I understand that I have to go through the whole application again regardless, and it could take months until I get it fixed.

This screws up my family reunion in May, I’m really pissed.

Oooooh no! 😔 How bloody frustrating!! I’m saddened for you to hear this and don’t blame you for feeling pissed.  At least you noticed though, because clearly not everyone does 🙄

I will keep everything tightly crossed for you that it can just be re-printed speedily before May but correctly this time. 🤞🏽

I didn't get that either! I was desperate for any message but looks like USCIS isn't desperate for me hahaha

Also, our local office (Seattle, WA) is closed for 14 days due to coronavirus. So my already slow office just got slower 😂

I really hope everything is okay in Seattle and that you and your family are keeping happy and healthy. 🙂The situation in Washington is increasingly concerning at the moment.

I really hope things don’t slow down for you anymore than they already are.

P.S you guys got any toilet paper or hand sanitiser left over there in the west? In Spokane all those shelves are bone dry!! 😂🙄

would personally just go to the interview as planned on the day and time the letter is showing. If they have made a mistake they will reschedule you but although it’s easier said than done, try not to stress.

If it would make you feel better, maybe try emailing or calling just to confirm you should show up on that day. 🙂

best of luck with your interview!! 🌈🦋💓

Thanks for the advice. We will try and verify and go as well. I appreciate it. Thank You 🙏 😊

You’re very welcome! 🙂

You wait all this time to find out when the date is and then see it’s for an unexpected time/date...😐  I totally understand the frustration/confusion that would have been felt. 😩😤

My instinct tells me all will be absolutely fine for you though. You’ll most likely either get another correction letter in the mail very soon, or your office will be waiting for you on the proposed date to interview and after you leave (and have been approved 🙊) you could perhaps gently suggest they amend or better explain their published opening times! 😂🙂😀

May need to find alternative recourses soon.
Pretty crazy since nothing has been reported in Indiana yet.

That’s Super Sweet sweet of you, though.
We may need to take you up on that soon.
I even tried Amazon, purchased, and it’s delayed two weeks!!  😂😂😱

Thank you! I just forwarded my fail EAD card, the only one that ever has confused me with a Female.

I called USCIS to make sure I was doing the right thing. The first thing the lady on the phone says after they verified my information, and before I could explain why I was calling: “...sir this case is belongs to a female, are you sure is yours?”

LOL

After that she checked the parent case (AOS) and it showed my actual gender (“M”). I’m very surprised their sistems allow such mistake.

We couldn’t find a backup of the actual form we sent, so we are assuming that they screwed up, no way I’m gonna file and pay a new EAD app.

Anyways, fingers crossed it takes them less than 2 months to fix this, so I can travel.

Congrats to the ones with scheduled interview! I hope mine goes next, so I can forget about the damn EAD.

I would love some good vibes sent to me as the excitement is extremely mixed with nerves!! 🤩🥳

Yes, sending good vibes your way😊.
We are nervous as well but it will be nice to have the approval out of the way and put the process to the side for a awhile.
Congrats @Meg101.. Wishing you both the best !🎊🎈🍾!!!
