Hi! I just started the expediting process. No cost. Just need evidence. Based on the information you shared with me here - sounds like you would qualify. If it were up to me, I mean. I called and submitted a request over the phone on Thursday. On Friday I received that it was “accepted”. Not approved, just accepted. Late last night I received an email asking for evidence. Faxed my evidence off just a few minutes ago.

Also, we are in RI, too!!

google EAD expedite process. Will give you the scenarios that qualify as well as the number to call.

best of luck

That's awesome, thank you. We have a very similar timeline and to both expedite is weird!

I've been here since July and I think the lack of seeing/meeting/talking to people has give me anxiety about working again. We need the money but I'm just nervous about it. Part of me is pumped to expedite and actually have human contact other than my husband though. Last night we went to the 99 and the poor manager must have thought I hadn't spoken to anyone else in a year, the way I was talking and wouldn't let him go lol

Oh dear, you are too funny.

been here since end of Aug with my 2 kids. They are ages 13 & 9. What a “winter”. Very different in Canada, where I moved from.

I get you about the human contact part. It’s tough. I’m so ready to get back into the working routine and slowly start building my bank accounts back up - they’ve been terribly depleted since moving here. Eek.

if you ever need anything at all, I’m here, send a DM!!

cheers!!

Awesome. I really hope that they'll approve it. Your circumstance should qualify for it.

Sorry to hear that. Usually they approve when there are issues with regards to health. Surprised by the denial

Wow, faxed and denied on same day?? So sorry to hear! How did they notify you?

Updated the app with - DENIED. No further instruction on how to appeal so I’m assuming there is none. Wasn’t meant to be, I suppose.
