We sent our i485, i131, i765 in today as well.      I was looking at the stats listed here for Dallas I485 for K1s and it looks like it may be approved in three months.   I hope what I’m seeing is a good reflection of what we will experience.

My fried from boston turned in his i485 k1 and his was approved in 6 weeks.    That was crazy fast.  It would be great if our results here are the same!!

We did apply for his SS card 2 weeks after he arrived in DFW.   Then we waited 5 weeks to receive it in the mail about a week before we got married.    Last week, we went back to the SS office  to change his name to the married name and they told us it would be another 4 weeks before we received his new card in the mail.    That seemed to work well and we used the number on the i485 documents.    I’m not really sure that it matters to have it now without the work authorization.  Although, getting health insurance seems easier with having the number.

Not sure where you saw those stats Dallas local office is one of the slowest. I don't  think you'll be seeing anything in 3 months. I'm  a September 2019 filer Dallas office and I'm  expecting it to take a year minimum. Where did you see your info? I have seen only one couple get an interview from Dallas that fast, but that was the luck of the draw not the norm. I'm not disputing your source just a bit shocked at the 3 months you quoted.

We are both on the same pd date, my check was cash on 01/10/20, still waiting for receipt. Was your receipt mail to you or you got the confirmation thru text

Hey I got it through text in the midnight lol. I learned sometimes they don't really send you any notifications. You can probably try USCIS online page talk with Emma, they will ask for your A-number and other personal info, then you can go ahead and request an online agent to give you your receipt number!

The delivery method has nothing to do with the G-1145 at least from what I know. Where did you got that information from?

I pull up the timelines and filter for K1 Dallas 485i and then sort by filed date and then go through the lines and look at what is happening on each of them.    There are about 3 or 4 from Dallas that were processed in 4 months or less.     Also when you go to the site for USCIS processing and search for i485 dallas, the timeline has decreased to 10 months for the short range.

you will only get the text notification if you mail to lockbox and fedex/ups cannot deliver to lockbox. its in the instructions. G1145 is worthless when used with Fedex/UPS
