Hey guys! Just had our biometrics appointment this morning.

The notice letter only had I485 and i765 on it so my husband asked about the I131 and they (wrongly) told him that he will get a separate notice for the I131. That is not true.

In case anyone else was wondering, the biometrics for I765 goes for the I131 as well since it is a combo card so it's normal to have only the I485 and I765 on the notice.

Anyways, onto the looooooooooooooooooooong wait...

I only have NOA for I-485(AOS) and I-131(AP) but have 3 case numbers. So that means I will not receive the notice for I-765 (EAD) because it will be combo? NOA for AP will also be NOA for EAD?

The USCIS should have adviced the applicant that or wrote it on the NOA that it is a combo so we wouldn’t be worried about it the missing NOA.

Oh well. Thanks for the info!

No, you should receive receipt notices for all three. When you get the Bios appointment notice it is just one notice you receive. It is true the EAD is a like a combo card that works as your AP. You should still not be worried about the missing I-765 NOA anyway since you received a receipt number for it in a text anyway. Worst case scenario it got lost somewhere, but it is still processing. I always like physical copies too like everyone so hopefully you get it soon.

Hey sorry for the confusion, I meant the biometrics appointment notice combines the EAD and AP biometrics. However, you should still receive three separate NOAs for all three.

But as said above, don't worry too much about it. Hopefully the EAD NOA1 is just a couple of days behind. Otherwise you can always inquire because I also like to have a physical copy for my records :)

Oh I see. It was odd not to receive all three when everybody here I saw received it all. Guess I have to wait after one month to call them as what the site states.

It’s okay 😊. Just worried where my wife’s NOA for EAD went.

To those who have gone thru their biometrics appointment can you please provide the timeline? I know I saw somewhere on the thread but it was gone maybe because of the merged thread.

Thank you for responding!

You can see my timeline in the signature! But basically the application was delivered on January 14th, I got hard copy NOAs on January 24th, biometrics notice on January 25th (a day later) and had biometrics today on February 4th, 2020. I know it all seems nervewracking but try to remain positive. When there are hundreds of thousands of applications with millions of pieces of papers it's a miracle they make as little mistakes as they do when you really think about it in the grand scheme of things. So it is just a little bit of administrative delay :) Hang in there - In Shaa Allah it is coming soon!

Hi all. So our Form I-864 was completed by the petitioner and sent separately on 1/3/20, ahead of my I-485 AOS, which was filed concurrently with my I-131 and I-765, and received at the Chicago Lockbox on 1/24/20. Unfortunately we had missed the special instructions on the USCIS page noting that the I-864 should be filed with the AOS, and were hoping that the documents can still be linked and reconciled to preempt a RFE. A higher level officer at the USCIS Contact Center advised that we reach out to lockbox support via email, but they had yet to respond. Hoping for some advice or experience on the matter.

Hello everyone patiently waiting! 🙂

I had my biometrics appointment this afternoon at the Spokane, WA, USCIS centre. My appointment was booked for 3pm and my husband and I walked out of there all done and dusted at 3:09pm. The waiting room was entirely empty when we arrived so I was seen straight away. I had to show my appointment letter, passport and marriage certificate because I have changed my name. It was essential to have these three things, so if you are waiting for biometrics and have changed your name after marriage...  DON’T forget the marriage certificate. And if you have any photo ID in your new married name, bring that too in addition to your passport. Don’t worry if you don’t have any, I didn’t and it was completely fine 🙂

I then had to fill in a form which had basic details like my name, height, weight, eye colour etc and then I had my photo taken. You can smile but not showing teeth. 🙂 I then had my finger prints taken. Don’t apply pressure when you are having it done, let the man or woman just guide your fingers (and thumbs) and it will be super quick. 👍🏽 After that I had to sign electronically on a pad, which threw me for a minute doing my new signature on the spot lol. I haven’t signed many things since we tied the knot in December.

It was a really easy process. No reason at all to be nervous. I left there with the appointment letter stamped and was told to hold onto it for my records to prove I went today.

Now the waiting game truly begins... I have to say hearing crickets is SO much easier while finally being here with my husband and our dog. 🙂

Best of luck to everyone waiting still. If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out. 🙂😀

Well, I didn’t expect to get a notification by email during the night to say that my case has been updated. I logged onto the USCIS account and got this notification:

Fingerprint Review Was Completed

As of February 05, 2020, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number xx, at our location. We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Just thought I would share incase anyone was curious what happens next after bio. 🙂

Oh no I'm sorry. But yea, next time you probably won't do that again. Kinda funny, when I drove here for the first time my husband yelled at me to stop at the stop sign before I was even able to see it because it was still far down the road. 😂 I was like, I have my german DL for almost 17th years, I know what I'm doing. That's why I'll do the same as what you did. Drive 1:30hrs to New Orleans next week for my appointment.

Hi! I’ve retaken the test and got a piece of paper as of my license. Good for 2 months until I get my actual driver’s license on the mail. It’s based on my passport number and will be good for a whole year. So I can just get a new one when I get my SSN.

BTW, my AP case was updated as of Jan 29th saying that a decision has been made and I should get a duplicate notice on the mail. The AOS and EAD cases show that my biometrics have been taken.

Wish you a short wait y’all

Beside weight, height, hair color, what other information do they ask for? Oklahoma City office doesn't not allow the applicant any company. My wife's English is so so. I'm trying to prepare her. If you can remember all the info they asked for, I could practice it with her. Much appreciated

Hi, so my memory is appalling but perhaps someone who is going to biometrics this week (I think we have a couple people on here with appointments this week! 🙂) will be able to tell you more.

I’m pretty sure it was mainly, my name (new married name) any previous names (obviously maiden name) gender,  country of birth, country of citizenship, then the height, weight, eye colour etc.  I can’t remember anything else on the form. It was one single sided A4 piece of paper and then the electronic signature. They did give me a piece of paper to read at the same time as filling in the form that was translated into Spanish too that basically said by signing today I was declaring everything was true and accurate etc.

Also, my appointment letter said at the bottom that no company is allowed for the applicant besides but my husband came in with me in the building anyway because it was heavily snowing outside and they didnt batter an eyelid.

I would personally try go with her and worst case scenario, if her English isn’t good enough, you can help translate 🙂

good luck, hope everything goes well for her! 😃😀😄

Just did my biometrics today.

They ask for the name ( first middle last ), other names used, date of birth, country of birth, country of citizenship, gender, race, eye color, hair color, height and weight ( either in metric or standard).

I showed up 2,5 hours to early and they let me proced after all the other people who showed up at the right time were done. Lucky me, I made it back home before the worst thunderstorms started.

@maferraric yeah congratulations. That's awesome. Was thinking about you while I was driving back home 😁

Hmm is that a good sign with the AP? That it already got adjucated? Did you said on the form that you want to travel very soon?
