Thanks, that’s what I thought. Some people have 3-4 days after receipt of filing, seemed too fast to have gone through processing and mailing.

Now on 16 days since delivery with no response. . . I'm getting worried that maybe it was denied for some reason

Same.  The only thing I can think of is that I know I put the check within the 486 packet behind the cover letter and maybe it should have been out of the packet/on top of them. Also the notification forms are in each packet under the cover letter of what's inside the packet. If it's returned just because they didn't open the packet to get the check, I'll be pretty mad 😡

This seems to be the norm anymore in Chicago lock box. It took them over 3-weeks to process mine, cash their check and send the NOA. Best of luck

How can it be denied, when you've  not even interviewed yet? You are reading way to much into this.  Take a deep breath you'll  be fine!

Some go quick. I always do next day delivery using USPS since it goes to their P.O Box address. If you use other carriers depending on the form it has to go to a different address because can't send those to P.O Box addresses.

Like mine was received and processed the day after. I did everything last minute, which I would recommend no one to do, but sometimes it's the nature of the beast lol. I got married January 23 and it was filed same day. USCIS processed it the day after because I made sure USPS would deliver before noon Chicago time. They already cashed the money orders. I hate when clients bring checks because they always take longer to cash those from experience.

Wow. I'm assuming that you got your marriage certificate the same day also. That's pretty fast, mine took weeks.

Hello to everyone following this topic! Me and my husband are planning to send off our AOS package tomorrow. I was just wondering if it is necessary to provide the I-94 with the I-765 and I-131 as supporting evidence? The I-797 with the I-765? They weren't listed as required evidence for the forms within the form instructions. I don't think it would be wise to over-provide evidence when it's not actually required. Thank you in advance and good luck to every other applicant out there going through this AOS process 😄

folks i got my rejection notice today. That lockbox definitely has some dumb people. They categorized my application into a different family based category and rejected it based on non availability of visas. Fun part is my application was filed based on Employment based category

I think you better slow down. Go to the second  post in this thread it will list what is needed with the AOS submission. Also there are many guides on this forum. If you are unsure best to read first. The I-94 is a required doxument.

Wow you were on the ball! We got married end of Sept and spent months procrastinating/figuring out whether to do CR1 or AOS but seeing as we were past 90 days when discussing it, it didn't make sense to do CR-1 and start from scratch again.

You were Super lucky to get processed so quick!

sent AOS docs last week and I received text (and check cashed) yesterday.

My two cents in stacking the forms and supporting documents is that using these color paper dividers. it helps you and the person who will receive and evaluate your application/case.

Are they saying that they have a quota for employment based visas and once they ran out, you'll have to wait until more become available? This letter is definitely not clear to the average person! Might be time to consult with an attorney :( or one of the much more seasoned members of this site.

Congratulations. One step closer 😊

I used sticky notes too. Just at the bottom like the instructions say 😉
