So I need my W2 to back up the 2018 1040... got it.

Yeah you need the W2 to accompany your Income Tax filing. The only exception I have seen to this is when you file the actual transcripts from IRS. Before they did not really care about the transcripts, but lately they have been asking for those at the consulates and it seems to me that immigration policy withing USCIS is starting to mirror what they are doing at the consulates more and more these days. Especially when it comes to the amount of discretion officers are being given.

They are doing this because the transcripts are nearly impossible to forge and besides they come  straight from the IRS.

Hiya!

Can I just submit my 2019 w2 without the 1040 since I haven't filed yet? TurboTax is saying my husband needs a social security number before I can file. *eye roll*

Right now, for my husband's AOS, I have:

2019 W2 (sans tax form)

2018 1040 tax return (no W2)

Pay stubs from 11/2019-01/15/20 (I get paid bi monthly).

Would this be enough?

nope, just send in your 2018 tax returns, I would recommend the tax transcript you can easily get on the IRS website after you create an account. do not send in 2019 W2 without filing first. W2s alone are useless to them. you need all the papers W2/1040 and whatever else you filed OR you get the transcript without all these extra paperwork

AOS/EAD/AP ->: 11/29/18 - NOA1: 12/04/18

Biometric NOA:  12/14/18  Biometric Appt: 12/26/18

Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview: 1/16/19

EAD/AP approval: 3/18/19

AOS Interview Appt: 6/4/19

AOS Interview: 7/10/19

AOS Approved: 7/23/19

GREEN CARD IN HAND: 7/26/19

Wow! Congrats! When did you send your packet? What mode of payment did you use (personal check, credit card, money order)?

Too many questions. Cause I think we are on the same timeline.

We sent them a personal check. We sent the packet 12/31. They received it 1/2.

Usually means incorrect fee or forms, or form missing. Just follow what they tell you, fix it and get it back in the mail.

I got 2 texts (and the papers by now) online they say January but paper says received December 13.

I waited 32 days from delivery date to NOA1, there was no text for the rejected form.

After calling USCIS about this, I received the rejection letter within a few days.

Hope that answers your questions:)

How many days did it take for you to get your packet back  ?

Oh just saw this message, so sorry! Did you submit 485 131 and 765? Or was just one case rejected?

It just took about 3-4 days to get it in the mail.
