Out of interest, does the biometrics App give you a specific time or time range to attend? Or any time that day? And can it be rearranged?

Asking just in case because my husband is having chemotherapy treatment and knowing my luck, we'll get the appointment through and it'll be the same day as infusion🙄

Hey, there. The letter we received has a specific date and time. From what I understand, I can go have the biometrics earlier than what is scheduled. The letter also has an option to reschedule.

You can try to do an early walk- in but it's totally up to them if they allow it. Some ASCs are easier than others

Yes. I have spoken with people I know that went through the same process at the same ASC office.

I think the reason why they let people walk-in from my town, is because we actually have to fly out to get to the office for biometric appointments.

Got all three NOA in the mail today, though they were dated January 22. Biometrics are up next. Yeay.

Wow! Congrats! When did you send your packet? What mode of payment did you use (personal check, credit card, money order)?

Too many questions. Cause I think we are on the same timeline.

The letter does say you can send it back to reschedule but you can just call USCIS customer service and they will transfer you to tier 2 officer who will reschedule on the phone. (I just rescheduled mine... twice 😂)

People  have even went ahead of their appointed time frame by days and had success. It depends on the ASC.

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

Indeed, but I needed to postpone... And I know many people have gone and done walk-ins with a later appointment but the officer on the phone said that cannot be done, probably just trying to prevent more people from doing it 😅

Hiya!

Can I just submit my 2019 w2 without the 1040 since I haven't filed yet? TurboTax is saying my husband needs a social security number before I can file. *eye roll*

Right now, for my husband's AOS, I have:

2019 W2 (sans tax form)

2018 1040 tax return (no W2)

Pay stubs from 11/2019-01/15/20 (I get paid bi monthly).

Would this be enough?

From what I have read and understand, they are looking for the Tax Transcripts directly from the IRS for the last year that you have filed.  2019 is not due yet, so I’m assuming you must send a 2018 tax transcript and possibly 2017 and 2016 as well if needed to support your case and income flow.     I would be cautious and make sure income is supported before sending in as the Supreme Court just past the ability to reject easier when income isn’t supported.  See...

What exactly does "income supported" mean? Can you give me more information on that? The link you supplied sent me to a log in page. I also have a letter from my employer verifying my income, job title, and how long I've worked there.

I have assumed you are completing the Affidavit of Support.   I 864 - is that correct?    If so, see page 8 of 17 of the 864 instructions:  Item Numbers 23a-25 Federal Income Tax Return Instructions.  🙂
