congrats. waiting time now is 3 weeks from approval date. If you don't have SSN I suggest you give them  a call.

My husband's ead arrived June 15th and I just saw that our i-485 status was switched to "my interview was scheduled" on July 16th. It was "ready to schedule" on March 4th.  We haven't received the notice letter with the date of the interview yet. I kind of can't believe it because of all the backlogs and the probable closer on August 3rd.  Has anyone else received anything? I'm really hoping this becomes an "interview scheduled...interview cancelled...green card approved without interview thing."

Why should that happen now that they're doing interviews again? It only happened because offices were closed and they tried to reduce the backlog.

haha hopeful thinking! I just thought they were still working on the backlog that was created with the offices closed, so I wasn't expecting any change on the i-485 for many months. Hopefully more people who sent in January are beginning to receive interview dates (though I'm assuming the offices will close again in August, but who knows).

My case, and my 2 kids cases just changed to “Ready to Schedule for Interview”. This is all so so exciting after months of no updates at all. Hope everyone is hangin in there ok.

Thanks...   I tried to look at your timeline but don’t see the data.

 

Another note...  my case tracker app allows me to download a range of case numbers and their status.   I thought about downloading the last 2000 into excel and then watch to see what is changing for the 485’s.     That would help to know if any interviews are actually being scheduled or if the green cards are being approved without interviews.

It takes 3 weeks to have your card mailed out.

I did some analytics on 3000 case numbers before mine.   Mine which was submitted around 1/15.    Of the 3000 prior cases, there were 500 485 applications.   Of the 500 485 applications, 3 were approved in April and 13 interviews were scheduled in July.    Others are waiting for interviews to be scheduled.     Hope this helps...   a little action.
