Hi everyone. Its tax season and im looking to see if anyone knows whether this is possible. My American Husband and I had our son May 16, 2019 during our K1 process. In June we visited until we moved July 2 2019. My son has his American citizenship. Im wondering with my Canadian taxes if I can claim him in Canada (im still receiving maternity pay) and my husband can claim our son on his American taxes as he has been in USA for atleast 6 months. Thanks

You can but it doesn't matter as you don't qualify for any of the benefits of claiming him (gst or child tax credits) in Canada.
