So what is the best thing to do? We got the same invitation for biometrics for November, though all applications are already approved and we are just waiting for a interview date. Really dont feel like going there again just to be told that you shouldn`t come.

EAD/AP card arrived yesterday! Biometrics was just three days earlier, so great news.

Can anyone tell us how this happen?

In AOS, which was submitted in Feb, finally did my fingerprint last week. Should I just start applying for jobs and with an offer, apply for expedited request?

I am thinking that the above cases are probably exception...

- Feb 22 2020 - Mailed Application (I-130, I-845....) to Chicago

- April 22 2020 - NOA 1

- June 1 2020 - RFE for I-944

- June 24 2020 - Replied to RFE

- Oct 25 2020 - Fingerprint done

- Nov 9 2020 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

So I tried to call USCIS and solve this issue with second bio appointment with Tier 2 officer so we don`t have to go for bio again. Officer said they didn`t know why we were called for bio again and we can go or we can ditch it for some consequences and possible rescheduling/delay. Not able to cancel or apply previous fingerprints to a case. I guess we will go because it was said that USCIS might invite us for second bio because  they are missing something. Thought we have all plastic cards issued and in hand after first bio.

See, you received your card after 6 days? In some places, I read that it will take at least 3 months..You didn't request an expedited request, did you?

Thanks

Same goes for us. Biometrics was initially scheduled in March and I 765 was approved in July. Biometrics must have been the rate limiting step so once it was done in September the card appeared to be ready to be sent.

EAD card/ proof of marriage...

Sure. I brought originals of everything, printouts of all the forms submitted, photos, 2019 tax returns (not previously submitted)...

What they actually asked for:

- Passport (scanned it)

- Original marriage certificate (scanned it)

- 2019 tax returns

- Photos*

- Proof that we planned a wedding this year but had to cancel due to COVID*

- Bank statements

*They didn't ask for these things specifically, they just asked if we had anything else to give them.

I should have had more proof of marriage in the form of mail. He said the more the better in terms of having proof that we live at the same address. I had previously submitted our lease and utility bills but I should have brought more recent copies.

Hope that helps!
