All consulates are closed untilfurtherr notice.

But it’s not stated on their Nigerian website !
what I can see is postponement of nonimmigrant visa interview!
there’s nothing on immigrant visa interview being postponed or consulate closed !
pls I need clarification on this!

Yes and that means citizens and residents from those countries can't enter Nigeria but Nigerians can still travel to those countries (US inclusive). So until those counties close their borders on us, we are allowed to go there.

Though it wouldn't be a good idea to travel now with the situation of things. But you have to travel before your medical or 6 months issued expired. Else you have to start another visa application all over (pay new medicals, new visa fees, gather documents and the likes) which can be stressful.

The US had already banned travel from Nigeria and other countries back in Feb. That travel ban has not been lifted as far as I know. Nigeria has banned travel from the US to their country also.

Okay let me clarify. My conversation wasn't based on the Trump's travel ban in February but on "coronavirus travel ban". I know the travel ban hasn't been lifted.

Nigerian did not ban USA. It’s a suspension of flight from USA and other affected countries with over 1000 cases which will also affect Nigeria citizens in Those countries too . It’s for 1 month . The reason is to curtail the spread of the virus

You are conflating two different bans.   This thread is about the immigrant visa ban not the coronavirus entry ban.

The ban doesn't stop immigrant interviews.

Moreover, a lot of Nigerians having been granted visas via a waiver after the ban.

Cheers.
