@Angel4love My attorney pointed me to this site for help with preparing waiver packet: https://www.aila.org/infonet/applying-for-a-waiver-pursuant-to-presidential.  There is downloadable pdf...this will help you front load.  They may not collect it, but better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.  Another thing they are asking for is NIN# and one person they requested Secondary School Certificate (they put those individuals on AP until they could get the information).  They are asking for chat logs too.

This is the response I saw on Facebook a woman had gone to her interview and received the slip showing that she was going to be considered for a waiver so she asked an immigration attorney what it means. His response is below. I blurred out their names out of respect for them.

Well my fiance is from Nigeria and his K1 visa was ISSUED today!!! So either A) the ban does indeed NOT affect K1 visas or B) he is an exception because his interview took place before the ban (Feb 11)

Your posts finally made me create an account after weeks of stalking these message boards. My fiancé had his interview in London on Val’s day & we’re patiently waiting for a result like yours. Congratulations! I know this is a sigh of relief for your families. 🥰

My boyfriend is in the US currently on an Immigrant Visa from Nigeria and received a letter that he is now required to leave within 20 days due to the ban. Is anyone else experiencing this? Very upset and concerned

If he came on an immigrant visa, then he is an LPR now. No bans impact LPRs. This ban only impacts getting a new visa.

So the letter is either a scam or there's some miscommunication going on.

Been trying to follow this long thread

Have either of you seen any visas ISSUED? I've seen some saying approval (on K-1s) since the ban. Just trying to make sure I didn't miss anything :D

One of the other, and a Boyfriend so could be pretty much anything.

Yes, somebody from Nigeria posted today their K-1 visa was issued.  Scroll back a couple pages.

My understanding is that Immigrant Visa doesn’t necessarily = LPR though? There is a wait time? I’ve heard about one other case of this- both with visas issued in past 2 years. Could be a miscommunication but very confused and feeling helpless at the moment

I saw the issuance
But OP mentioned that interview was before the ban so that should not have been affected.
My question was anything after the ban. Thank you tho

On what basis did he immigrate to the US.
