I apologize to everyone for posting this. I listened to this video so many times. Smh...Maybe because of the excitement and the title. I am so sorry. I would never play a joke like this. This is my life. I just want to be with my husband. 😢

No reason to apologize.  Hopefully, this will end soon.....

I pray so too, but I won't hold my breath because Nigeria has a lot of problems.

Currently the Travel Ban countries have two options to get a visa approved (1) use a non-designated country passport (2) request a waiver after the interview. Option 1 is the best and easiest so far. Option 2 has seen a range of outcomes. I've heard unconfirmed news several additional countries may be added in the future to the Travel ban.

Hi - For option 1 - How does one go about updating the passport on the application? I applied using my Nigerian nationality and since my application was put in I am a citizen to an unaffected country. I am wondering how I go about updating this.

Depends on what visa you are applying for and where you are in the process.   CR/IR at the NVC or interview.  K1 at the interview.

Well I am speaking pre-maturely. I expect to become Canadian by the end of February, I am not yet Canadian.

I am in the CR1 application to immigrate to the US (with my Nigerian passport), My application was put in Sept of 2018, I am expecting my interview (by looking at the trend) to be in March of 2020. I Expect to get the invite this month be given March 2020 date options.
By the interview time, I will/should have my Canadian passport, but I don't know if I can just SHOW up with a Canadian passport despite initially applying as a Nigerian - or if I need to update NVC prior to the interview (which may be cutting close). Another confusing thing -  I also saw somewhere that nationals on the travel ban list will simply not have their visa interviews scheduled  (is this accurate?) If this is the case, then my only option is to update nationality with the NVC? and if so, how do I even do this? I have never been able to successfully contact the NVC.
