Thanks very much you mean I don't need my tax clearance, I only need my wife's tax return and is it original copies?

Yes the original copies. I would advice you go with your tax clearance too you never know. Depend on the CO doing the interview you never can tell what they would ask for so please go with yours. But the once I mentioned are the priority cos most of the questions are going to be base on the petitioner and mind you don't staple your affidavit of support.

How can one get the original copies to the interview? Can she scan the colored copies or mail down the actual copies via DHL?

Take it along with you to your interview with other documents. Like I said don't make mistakes of not taking the documents you submitted during your NVC process.

Are you referring to the Affidavit of Support or the Tax return? During mine I only went with the original of the AOS while  the Tax return was a copy.

OK I will tell y'all this. Every IO (Immigration Officer) is differ. The questions you may be asked might be different from the other  base on the circumstances surrounding your case.

To be on a safer side you are advice to come to the interview with the original documents not copy.

The only thing you need to come with a copy is

* marriage certificate( original +copy)

*birth certificate (original +copy)

On my interview day the IO will look at the monitor ask me where is this where is that. I will have to show him the original of all the documents I submitted to the NVC cos he was staring at them right there at the monitor.

I presented everything to him right there exactly the way they were sent to the NVC

At the end he looked at the original and took what he needed and gave me back what I needed and took the copy which is the marriage and birth certificate.

I pray things get back to normal again soon. I have my interview appointment for November and I just want to ask anyone who have had their cr1/ir1 spousal visa recently in lagos what's the required documents they asked for and did they also ask for tax certificate, just want to know so I can get myself prepared. Thanks in advance.

I hope your interview goes well next month. Could you please give an update on your experience at the embassy after your interview? So many of us are waiting for an interview or an update, I'm sure any information you can provide would be helpful.
