I cannot take these hurdles any more. They have round the clock curfews,  food selling out in minutes, now closing the embassy. When does this pain and sadness ever end?  Right now I feel as if I will never see my husband again. This time they are licking things down indefinitely. 😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏

i’ve been following yours and some other posts on here since we’re currently at the NVC stage of just waiting for interview appt date and notification. My husband has been sending me videos, live feeds, etc of  the protest and #EndSars protests and police brutality in Nigeria. I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe. 

What is the atmosphere on the grounds and what can we as people of the diaspora do to make noise about the danger our spouses/loved ones are in? I heard they’ve even closed Lagos Consulate office for 48 hrs. I myself am super scared about my husband being there because he lives and works in the heart of it all.

The situation in lagos is bad but please everyone should keep praying for peace.. Abuja is fine, just some minor reports of riots by hoodlums in Apo area of Abuja, But other locations are quiet..

My husband is in ikeja and I am worried sick. His sister has 3 small boys and there was gun fire close to their home. She said the children were terrified. I have seen so many dead bodies, burning buildings and it is bad. I doubt if they will open the consulate in Lagos after 48 hours and I am just so sad. We have been DQ'd since early July waiting for an interview and I am so upset over all that is going on. I want to make a lot of noise for the people of Nigeria, any suggestions?

All I’ve been able to do is post and post and repost anything my friends and family back home send me in TWITTER, IG, facebook etc.  

I know that some Nigerians on the east coast are in the process of collecting funds organized to aide the families of precious lives lost. As I know more, I will let you know and keep you updated.

Embassy will open soon fam. its just gonna be shut down for few days just because of the riot and destruction going on in Lagos. It will be calm soon and the consulate will open.

I have my interview appointment for November and I just want to ask anyone who have had their cr1/ir1 spousal visa recently in lagos what's the required documents they asked for and did they also ask for tax certificate, just want to know so I can get myself prepared. Go with all the original documents you submitted to the NVC and then pictures of you and your spouse together if it's possible collage it using Microsoft and date it.

Thanks very much you mean I don't need my tax clearance, I only need my wife's tax return and is it original copies?
