Do I need to include my ex-spouses A # in the I-129F?

I didn’t do a fiancé visa (it asks if I have filed any precious i-129fs which I hadn’t) for my ex but a spousal visa. Will I be making it more difficult if I put his a# and that he was a “I-130 recipient” in supplemental information at the end of the petition; or should I just leave it out (I don’t feel right about leaving it out it feels like I would be omitting necessary information without including it)

do you think this is going to have detriment on my petition if I put it on the additional information on page 13 (I put the item pertaining to information about previous marriage ) ?

Do not hide anything or leave anything out...if you have filed fiance or spousal they have all your details.....A petition is a petition does not matter if its fiance or spousal

Hello beautiful! I have a similar situation as the previous poster. I was just going to put my ex husband’s name where it asked about previous spouses and omit the section that it asked about previous petition because I only filed a AOS and not a visa. Would I be wrong for doing that? Thanks!

I believe that should work, thanks 😉

That’s what I did. I asked on Avvo (a free legal advice site) and they said to omit the section where it asked about any previous I-129F. Because there was no I-129F, only an I-130!

Great, thanks a lot. I wish you the best since you will be submitting yours first. Mine will be submitted sometime in May😊. I hope to hear how things go for you since we have similar situations.

@Kaykay2019 I’m gonna be consistent on working on my timeline! Hopefully everything turns out good without an Rfe

You have to be honest about everything and get supporting documents together.

@Besamioti don’t want to be misrepresentative at all. So although it doesn’t mention the I-130 anywhere so I put it in the additional information.

Maybe you should not say anything since you have never filed an i-129f.  But I suggest you be really sure of what you are doing before you do it.

True I really want to do it the right way. I am thinking it is best that I at least mention it in the additional information.

I don’t think it will be looked at as you misrepresenting any information if you mention that you had been married and submit your divorce decree as well as list your previous spouses name, because it didn’t ask whether you had filed a spousal visa in the past, it specifically says I-129F.

Exactly! I was not sure when I filed so I added my ex spouse A# on my I-129F. No issues at all other than taking 299 days to approve. If that was the reason, but at least I did not withhold what they were asking for. If it's there to be found USCIS will find it eventually.

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

It's been a while since I last saw the I-129F so keep that in mind.

For all government documents I have always followed the following rule. "read the instructions given with the document and answer the question".

If they only ask about a I-129F and you never petitioned for another one than the answer is "no" if they ask for I-129F or any other petition, than you answer yes. You must be honest but you also only have to disclose what they ask for.
