Hello fellow filers!

I used to get an email notification every time somebody posted here but I haven't gotten one in the past two months so I figured nobody had posted anything... Decided to check today and BAM!! 

Anywho... Thanks to you guys I also checked my case status today to see that they're using my old biometrics. It makes me breathe a little. I know they said they'd still work on cases but I had this feeling that the past two months just didn't matter. Now I feel like they did work on cases which makes me officially 88 days in!!

About 300 more to go but still 😂😂😂

I was curious about how the 2020 January filers were doing, if they got any updates and look what I've found:

I get an approval estimate every Sunday from VJ, and today it said Jan 16, 2021 (2 weeks ago it said February 11, 2021). I know it's just an estimate and each case is different but this gives me more hope. 🤗

I am hoping for an approval by Christmas, it will be my present to myself 😬 but the email estimates I'm getting from VJ are very similar to yours.

I got a letter in the mail yesterday confirming they are using the old biometrics

Almost had a heart attack, I thought it was an approval letter!

Anyone here with receipt number starting with LIN have their status change to biometric taken? I sent my application to Nebraska center and my number starts with LIN***** my case didn't change the status from the time they received my package. Looking for others who sent to Nebraska center

I saw one person in this forum that had the bio taken status change (page 28).

From what i see, filers at Nebraska service center will have to wait fo awhile (4-5 months) to get another update from them. 
 

There is a thread for LIN filers that you can follow:

USCIS I-129F Receive Date:  January 13th, 2017

USCIS I-129F NOA2 Date:  April 27th, 2017 (105 Active days )

NVC Received: May 19th, 2017

NVC Left : May 26th, 2017

Packet 3 Received : June 12th, 2017

Interview Date : July 28th, 2017  - Approved

AOS Journey: 

AOS package (I 485, I765, I131) sent: Jan 10th, 2018

USCIS Lockbox Chicago received: Jan 12th, 2018

NOA 1 hard copies received: Jan 22nd, 2018

Bio-metric Appointment Letter received: Jan 26th, 2018

Bio-metric Appointment date: Feb 6th, 2018

Interview date: April 23rd, 2018

Approval date: May 20th 2018

Hello,

 

Its been a long time since I checked the forums here and my case status in USCIS website. But since I got a letter from yesterday I thought to update you as well. I think most of us received the same letter saying that they will use our old bio metrics. I say good for us and them. I guess they are trying to lessen personal contact with applicant.

 

Anyway, I hope we get the approval soon.
