Hi guys, I am february 2020 filer aswell, LIN..and Yesterday got an update on my case showing that fingerprints were taken and applied to my case..but what is confusing me is that it says : We are working on your case at our Uknown location...

What that suppose to mean? any ideas? thanks in advance

Not sure , mine says that the case was assigned to an officer for review and if they need more info they will notify me, so I don’t know maybe someone else in the forum has experienced that or heard about it

We have also been notified that my wife's case has been updated to show biometrics taken. They must have reused her fingerprints from when she adjusted status (she came here on a K-1 visa). And our service center is listed as the one in Nebraska. (case number starts with LIN).

Cool, did they transfer her case to local field office?

No, because the case status would have said that they transferred it to the local field office. It will probably happen later, but that hasn't been done yet.

Ah I see, because mine showed that they are working on it at Unkown location! so not sure if it still at Nebraska or have been transfered to local field office.

Hi! i have read in other threads that these are all automated status, they work on data bases and algorithms, if the information about your office wasnt input into your case, when the status is generated your office shows as "unknown location", meaning it can just be someone didn't enter all the info into the system when working your case, not necessarily that it has been transferred.

Ah I see..that makes sense to me now..I really appreciate it and hopefully we hear some good news soon 😊

Hi all. Also a February filer here. Just saw that my case was also updated: "As of May 13, 2020, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number YSC*******, have been applied to your case. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

This basically means that they're using the biometrics from the AOS, correct?

Efren, did yours change from "fingerprints taken" to "case assigned to an officer" in the USCIS case tracker? Or did you see that it was assigned to an officer in the email received?

Thanks!

No, the “ fingerprints taken “ still there but scrolling down to next steps it says that the case was assigned to an officer for review and if they needed more info they would notify me
