Hello all,

Just mailed i751 application today. We have a trip planned to Dominican Republic for March 07-14, 2020. 2 year Green card expires 3/29/2020. Does anyone think we will have problems with reentry?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you could not travel until you have completed your bio metrics.

I sent my application in on 2/21, it was received on 2/24 (according to them).  My credit card was charged on 2/27.  I got a text message today (2/28) with my receipt number.

No one has said this. Green card is still valid and we have extension letter.

If your g2c is valid you can travel but if you get your bio appt and miss your appointment it will complicate your case or it will get behind

We will only be gone a week and we have informed delivery set up for our mail plus our family will check it while we are gone. I doubt the notice will give us less than a weeks notice for bio appt but would just do a walk in to get it done if so.

Agree! From I've seen they usually give at least 2 weeks notice.

Hello February filers!

I just filed my i751 (February 29). After reading visajourney stories and timelines I got concerned that it is kinda late since my green card expires on March 20 :( Constantly checking USPS tracking.

Yes, you filed a little late but most of us got the extension letter before the 20 day mark so keep the faith up and sit tight , best of luck!!

2/18: package delivered in TX

2/21: received 18-month extension notice in the mail

Our case was assigned to Vermont! I checked the processing times on USCIS and it seems like VT is the shortest so that's good.

Mine is in Vermont too. 🤞 hope it'll be a short process

Thank you! What troubles are likely ?

I thought the most important was to be sure that they get our package before GC expiration date, and forgot how it might be unreliable :(

You’ll be fine, you will possibly get the notification on txt if you sent the e-notification form with your packet

When I said you filed late I meant from your 90 day window before expiration of gc , but still on time👍🏼
