2- do i get new signed I864 or the ones submitted to NVC

3- Do i need the 2019 tax returns or the ones submitted to NVC (2018)

You need to bring all (original) documents that were sent to the NVC to your interview.  It is wise to have a copy of 2019 taxes if they are available by the time of your interview date.

filed what? Meaning what document? The i130? Just wanna clarify what stage they’re gonna start implementing it.

Unfortunately, that part is not clear to me either.  However, I have also heard it is up to the embassy whether or not they request it - even if you are already DQ.  So it's wise to prepare it and have it available for your interview (just in case).

Just the 2x2 passport style photo, any proof of bona fide marriage you can put under additional docs

I’ve been following this group and thank you all for all the info. I have a question: we are planning to submit the documents today and have all the documents ready and now I came across this post. Do we have to add evidence at this stage as well? We have a lot of pictures together after i-130 was submitted and was planning to take it to the interview but now I’m not sure if we need to add it at nvc stage itself.

VJ Community, correct me if I'm wrong, but I have yet to see anyone get a request for evidence (RFE) for not having submitted additional evidence of a bonafide marriage.

Yep, when I was told the first time that I called that we needed a letter, I checked every resource I could to see where it stated that and I could not find anything. When I called the second time and they told me the first thing I tried to tell them how I could not find it on any of their instructions and insisted how it could be that we needed that and they just said there was nothing else we not they could do.. On the bright side, you’re only about a week later than our second submission so your time should be coming up soon

Is it really needed for everyone?

I was unemployed when I submitted my documents, but I started working the next week after my submission. I only stopped working 7 months because I lived abroad for 7 months. what should the letter say?

I‘ve read that you are required to submit a letter explaining the absence of any document.

I have the “better to have it and not need it” attitude since this part of the process is taking so much longer than normal! Better to lose 3-4 weeks than 9! However, if you’re like, 8 weeks in already i night just hold off. Might get lucky.

It seems so. Everyone I’ve seen so far who hasn’t included it has been asked for it. My letter simply said “I, [my name], confirm I am unemployed and have been unemployed since [date]. I am a full time student and have no current income.” Then I signed and dated it in ink and scanned it

I am pretty far from this since I only just submitted my i-130. But when they ask for proof to show i can support my spouse, i've only been working since 2 years (graduated 2 yrs ago and been working since then). So i only have 2 yrs of tax transcripts, Is that enough? or do i need my dad to sponsor us

As long as your current income is sufficient that’s what matters. If your current income is enough you shouldn’t need a joint sponsor

I am really confused since I sent my W2 and transcripts for 2018, I only work in 2019 a few months. So I don't know if they ask that to ppl that didn't work at all and didn't report to iRS any income

But in the form they ask for 3 years, should i say i dont have 3 yrs...that's the confusing part

I have uploaded my 2019 tax return, w2, and 1099s...Instead of bring all original of these doc, Can my relative just bring the 2019 transcript instead. The reason of that I can just email my 2019 transcript instead of mailing all tax return docs overseas.
