I paid both fees on 2/17/2020. How long does it take to process.

Also, do i need to file 2019 tax return prior to submitting or last 3 year transcript should be good.

Thanks in advance

In my case, Both fees took 8 days to process.

I only uploaded 2018 transcript because I have not filed 2019 taxes yet and I got DQ'd yesterday.

I uploaded I-864EZ (I will be the only sponsor), 2018 transcript, and employment letter stating my current annual salary (2020 salary).

On AOS I filled in part 6 a,b,c but did not attach 3 years worth of transcripts.

Hope this helps.

Any advice?

  • We got two emails today. 8:42am saying the status changed and 8:43am saying we are DQ.
  • When I log in, CEAC says "Police Certificate (Canada): Incomplete".
Note: We had already uploaded the police certificate, two different types in fact, with a cover letter explaining there were two different types in the upload. Why? Because some Canadian immigrants on VJ were saying they were approved from one type, while others were told it was the wrong type. But of those using the other type, some were being told that it was wrong while others were getting approvals. So acquiring both and uploading both seemed safer. So yes, we have the police certificate(s) submitted already. But now the site is requesting it again.
  • If we do submit the document again, do we risk losing the DQ?
  • If we don't submit the document again, is having the 'incomplete' going to keep us from getting scheduled from an interview?

I know I could call them, but in over 200 calls over the last few weeks, I have yet to get through once. Of course I will try again. But I'm also posting here in case anyone else knows what to make of this.

Recieved an email on an update to our case, login to see what updated. Saw that NVC wants me to reupload a document because there was pages missing even though there blank (I thought i did not have to upload all pages even though they're blank. My supporting documents, now says accepted, it did not say that before. Should I re upload it and delay our case for another two months, or don't submit it because our status changed to "accepted"

I’ve heard if you make any edits it’ll get rid of the DQ. I’m not 100% sure but don’t risk it.

Call NVC as soon as they open at 7am ET. It’s always worked for me when I ring them the minute they open. You’ll still be on hold for a good hour, but you will get through eventually

I know it’s a pain but if I had to pick between about an hour wait or potentially up to 8 weeks I know what I’d choose.

Best of luck and I hope they fix it for you 💙

Regarding calling, I wouldn't mind holding, my problem is that I can't get through. I get the recording saying to go online or to call back later. I've called when they open, I've called right before closing time, I've tried calling 20 times in a row. I've followed this advice multiple times and get the recording (or a fast busy) every time, and no ability to wait on hold. I'm calling from the US on a cell phone (no landline) so I can't think what might be the problem. Any advice to getting past that?

Did you skip emailing NVC altogether and contacted the Embassy directly or did you email NVC first and chase up the outcome with Sydney?

I emailed NVC, then my embassy around a week later cos I got no reply from NVC!!!

Just keep trying I’m afraid 😞

If there’s no dialling sound before the message starts then it’s going to give you the “hang up and try again later” message

So instead of having to listen to the whole message over and over, listen for an initial ring. If you don’t hear it hang up and keep going.

It’s such a pain but there isn’t any other way. I’m sorry I couldn’t help more on how to guarantee you get through, you’d think they’d have upgraded to handle a bigger queue by now but they know we’re at their mercy so they don’t care 👎🏻
