I feel you... this week is 9 weeks since our 2nd submission! It's absolutely insane..

It's so hard explaining to a 10 year old this process.  She is getting so disheartened.  I pray you get DQ'ed very soon!!!

So if we filed MFJ and didn’t send our W2’s  & used a joint sponsor do you think it’d be a problem with Nvc? The joint sponsor submitted tax transcripts and employment letter.

If I were to submit the w2 now (submitted December 27) would that send us to the back of the line? 😩

I'm not that familiar with the joint sponsor process.

However, I would advise against adding anything when you're so close to a review. The missing w2 might not be a problem or NVC might raise other issues.

Submitting a document now would reset your date of submission (send you to back of the line). And you won't know if you're missing something else.

I'm wondering what the processing date will be when they open tomorrow. We're at 9 weeks for our first and our dreading the possibility of not being DQ'd.

Congratulations!!!! Ive been following your case since we're both in Brazil. I got set back due to the police record not being the right one........the Delegada wasng very helpful, but I think we got the right one now. Do you have an interview date?

Did you get a Federal and State Police Report from the internet? That's what we did but not sure if it's the way to go.

yes. We went on line and thought we got the correct ones. When they opened our case they approved everthing except the police records. Of course being the way NVC is they didn't specify which one was wrong. They simply sent a message saying to please replace the police report with one from a reliable issuing authority.....I have no clue if both were wrong or just one. So we spoke to our friend from the same city as us and she gave us her copies when she did hers. She went to the delegacia and got hand written ones, so we did the same and submitted two new ones and are waiting...again.

What's even more strange is that on the Brazil consulate document reciprocity page they specifically tell you to get both certificates from websites.

exactly. We  live in SC so we went to the website, which is a joke, and assumed we got the right one. Sei lá. Ive read people on here who got it off line and it went thru....maybe it was just our mistake, but hopefully the hand written one willl be correct. I can't wait to get that email saying Go to Rio on XXXXX day lol

Question?

When we resubmit documents do they check from latest date to review or still from the same one we submit?

I re submitted my documents on Jan 1st. and another one on Jan 16 for the other document I forgot to upload.

From Jan 1st its been almost 7 weeks waiting and from Jan 16 its been 5 weeks waiting so usually which one they check?

also where do we check for latest update on nvc website for the processing times since they removed the current one?

This is what frustrates me about the whole process. You got your DQ in less than a month after submission while im here religiously checking emails for a response lol. I had to resubmit the police record on 1/15/2020 which is before you submitted.......their process makes no sense. You would think they'd have a different section for people who resubmit one simple document instead of having to go back to the end of the line. Oh well. Congrats btw

Same feelings here. I was asked to upload W2 forms and everything else was accepted, so I would've hoped they have a queue for one or two documents that are easily verified. 😂

Hubby (applicant) and I (petitioner) are together this weekend and filling out the DS-260. I am searching for various answers on VJ from my tablet while he fills out the form on my laptop. But now I'll take a quick break to come and commiserate with all of you also going through similar pains.

We're working through the screen where you fill in every address since you were 16. We are 50+ years old, so this is a lot of addresses, 14 addresses to be precise! The CEAC site keeps giving us errors and kicking us out. The first time we had the whole page complete, but only 4 or 5 addresses entered. We hadn't saved yet, and the site kicked us out. Everything we'd entered on this loooong page was lost. Ugh. Yes, I know, we shoud have saved. But the site doesn't let you save this page until you've accounted for every address from 16 until now. So we couldn't save.

So our workaround: He starts again. But this time, he puts in the start date on the address as being his 16th birthday. Save it. Then go back in, change the date to the correct date, add another address, put the date as his 16th birthday. Save. This worked all the way up to 7 addresses. Yay! But then it started kicking him out after every added address. So adapt again. Same process, but after each address, now he logs all the way out and all the way back in. So for the next 7 addresses the process will be - Log in. fix the date, add the next address,  enter the 16th birthday, save, log out, log back in, fix the date, add the next address using the birthday, save, log out, log back in, etc.

Oh what we do for love. ❤️

Probably late, but it's best to have typed out the details on a document then just copy-paste as needed. I went through the same hassle. CEAC's timeout counter is very short.

Husband just submitted our expedite request!

I know the decision comes from Embassy and not NVC, so I've been looking in groups for the term "London Expedite" since that's where ours will go.

I found a London case was given UNCONDITIONAL expedite just last week., skipping NVC completely, because the USC wanted their spouse to be there for their child's birthday (I won't comment re: whether I feel that is actually grounds for an expedite). Ours is for financial burden and is pretty hefty money wise, so I'm feeling hopeful that London aren't extremely strict and will actually consider it!

Good luck with your expedite request! Hope you get it. I had a humorous thought of submitting an expedite request on humanitarian grounds - I'm going crazy with waiting! LOL. 😂

Everything everything submitted was accepted

it was a rfe so I’m ok with that and now I understand why they asked so all is good

We have a similar situation (RFE for W2). Keep up the great attitude! We'll eventually get through this. 😄

Your counter starts over when you re-submit documents, so base it off of the January 16th submission. As for the page to check current processed dates, someone else might have that info. I used to check diligently, but then realized it doesn't really apply, so I stopped checking. You have people getting responses from just four weeks back or so then you have others who get the full 9-week-ish treatment.

Thank you! 💙

Honestly some Embassy's would probably approve it. The person I mentioned that got approved said she only took a chance because she saw a request for anniversary and a request for birthday that both got approved. I don't know the details, maybe there was some mental health factors in the request, but if there wasn't then it's kind of infuriating. I mean we all want to have our spouses here for our birthdays/ their birthdays and for anniversaries, that goes without saying.

What happens after I submit the DS-260? Does a list of civil documents pop up?

Do they analyze the DS-260 and the 864 documents at the same time?

I am pretty much done with the DS-260 but not yet with collecting the 864 docs... Should I wait to submit them togheter?
Thanks everyone!
