Thanks - We did go with the EZ version but I was thrown off by the regular i864 appearing to be for multiple family members applying.

Matt

Nope, regular I-864 isn’t necessarily for multiple applicants. It can be either one applicant or more than one

Hello everyone and happy Monday !
i hope this week will bring a lot of DQ’s! 🤞🍀

ok , I’ve been DQ in 01/23/2020 ans I am “still” waiting on my IL .

country for interview is France and of what I read some people received their IL in 1/2 weeks .
question is . Is there a backlog now , even on that ?
don’t know what to expect 🤷‍♀️

Time from DQ to interview depends on the embassy you will be interviewed at. I would suggest looking for others who will be interviewing or have recently interviewed at the same embassy as you. Their wait times will give you an idea of how long your IL will take.

The wait will be longer if your embassy processes a lot of cases ( US embassies in Canada and Mexico have wait times of around 6 months from what I have heard ).

Thank you for your answer 🙏😃

i know that the time depends on the embassy , and I already looked at the récents wait times to have an idea .
my question was , is there any change on this recently  ? Because many times I referred to other cases and mine was completely différent for the  wait time ( way longer my time line can prove it lol )

Not that I am aware of. I'm still waiting on my DQ so I haven't started worrying about things past that just yet. 😅

Have you taken a look at this thread? It might be helpful.

The 864 instructions don't say it can't be used by those who qualify for the EZ. The EZ is harder to screw up as it requires less details. However, it carries the risk of being rejected if you use it when you are not supposed to. In my opinion, the regular i864 is the safer choice if you're comfortable with filling out a longer form and reading the longer instructions.

The EZ form is no different than any other form they require.. it has 3 determining forctors for use.. if those 3 factors apply to you, then they shouldn’t be rejecting it provided you’ve completed it correctly and supplied the required information..

this isnt about which document is safer.. it’s about applying their rules for its use.. if a person is rejected for no known reason who believes they were instructed by DoS guidelines to use the form, they should challenge the outcome.. no one wants an additional 8 week review time added to their processing when the DoS clearly states what form should be used on their website.

Hi all! I submitted all documents to NVC on Jan 21st. (Visa app, AoS, civil docs, etc)  Not expecting to hear back until the end of March if we DQ’d or not.

I have been looking ahead to try to be prepared and I found instructions that said to bring originals of all documents submitted to NVC. We have a joint sponsor... we submitted his passport and tax return... so we need to actually bring his passport and original tax return to the interview?  I feel like that’s sort of crazy, and a bit inappropriate. If we do, well have to make a trip to Montana to get certified copies.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi everyone!

My husband paid our IV and AOS fees on Jan 25 and it still says "in process". I noticed most people who had this issue said that the payment was taken from their account but my husband has checked his account thoroughly and said the payment hasn't gone though. We double checked to make sure the correct account info was put in and no issues there. I asked our lawyer but he wasn't of much help so I thought I'd check here! I should add that I emailed NVC and have tried calling many times but haven't been able to get through to anyone.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks in advance 😊

Copies of USC information is permissible.. e.g photo of their passport bio page and printed copies of their tax transcripts.. However the original signed copy of the AOS is required

Hi! I have a question regarding aos. So nvc got back to us on dec 31st saying aos was not hand signed and so we did that the same day and resubmitted the doc. Still no word from nvc and also the first time aos was submitted their page said clearly that they do not require aos to be hand signed anymore. Everything else is accepted. Now were delayed because of that little thing. Anybody had a similar issue? And how much longer is it going to take for them to review it? 🥰

It goes back to the back of the line, right now they’re reviewing submissions from around Dec 10 (this includes resubmissions), we did our second submission Dec 18 for one missing doc and we are still waiting too
