Hey everyone, update from today’s interview.

My husband was approved however the trump ban is in full effect and though his passport was kept to be stamped he got a white letter and was told it was because of the ban that he wouldn’t get it back right away. People who were denied got blue letters. This is so sad but hopefully soon the ban will be lifted and his passport will be given.

Thanks for all the prayers.

So you were approved but they are holding passport until the Ban lifts? No waiver was offered? WOW!

See that’s where I’m confused. He asked for a waiver verbally but they already had a white paper ready stating he was ineligible for a visa based on the travel ban (The paper said 212(f) and a box was checked saying his waiver was pending, as if the plan was already to automatically apply for the waiver for those approved for visas. He said they explained this same thing to a lot of people who passed their interviews but could not get their visa stamps yet. He said they had to give this form based on the ban. That’s his understanding of what they explained to him and why they kept his passport saying it would be stamped instead of returning it or giving a 221g.

Congratulations!!!  How was it?  How long they said it will take to get the passports?  What they asked? What kind of documents they adk for CR2?I'm sorry if I ask too many questions)

Couple of quick notes: we will make a review soon for Kyiv embassy:

1. The interview letter listed wrong address. Interviews are at embassy on Sikorsky. There is no consulate office at pimonenko... Even if the letter says so.

2. I  (petitioner, US citizen) was initially refused entry and told I had to wait outside. This is false. Eventually I found a security guard that made sure I was admitted.

3. 5 days for passports to be finished

4. Documents for CR2 similar as CR1.. i missed the document check as I was stuck outside. They did not interview my stepdaughter (6 years old) at all. I think it was sufficient she attended, and was told she could go play on the kids corner area.

5. Took about 1.5 hours total. Interview was less than 10 minutes.

IR1/CR1 and IR2/CR2 important dates:

Country:/Embassy: Kyiv, Ukraine

USCIS : Texas Service Center

NOA1: Feb 6 2019

NOA2: Aug 8, 2019

NVC Case#: Oct 10, 2019

NVC DQ:  Jan 6, 2020

Interview letter: Jan 23, 2020

Interview Date: Feb 25, 2020

Thank you so much for your answer. I'm really happy for you guys! Finally you are done with this. Is there any way for me to communicate with your wife? Very soon I have interview in the same embassy. I would really appreciate if she will give me some advice. Here's my phone number +380970194167. If she can send me a message on WhatsApp or Viber I would be really thankful!

Hello everyone! My husband went to his interview today. We had a problem with the I-864. We made a mistake by putting my name as the sponsor, it was supposed to be my father. Make sure you have all your documents and everything is correct. Have multiple people look at it just in case you miss something. Thank god we were lucky enough to find a open interview on Thursday. All the other months were booked. Keep us in your prayers. Hoping the best for everyone.

I remember requesting for a sponsor and it was approved. I uploaded all the documents. Now my sponsors information is not on the ceac website. Just disappeared. Has anyone experienced this?  Is this normal?
