Hello,

My brother got his interview letter for Cairo Egypt, he's F2b visa applicant. He went for his medical exam and they told him the results are sent electronically to the embassy, he doesn't need to pick them up. Anyone had this experience?

We registered his pick up address for Aramex but do we need to register his interview too, I donno how to that and this line in the interview checklist is confusing:

Confirmation of your online appointment registration (see Step 1) confirming passport information.

Printed confirmation of your online registration of a delivery address for returning your passport and documents (see Step 1) after the interview. Every immigrant visa applicant must register at US Travel docs before their interview.

I have tracked it and it says it is ready and would be delivered to DHL in Abuja and I am in Lagos. How possible is that? Don’t they go by the small slip we filled at consulate during interview? I lived in Abuja about 8months ago

You should contact them on that

No I did not , I used Abuja address for an old non-immigrant visiting visa application.

That means you didnt update your info on the site you were to register for your visa pick up. You should have update it to your current address.

Thank you so much, I just picked up at the Lagos office. Apparently all immigrant visas are picked up in that same Lagos location that the consular officer tells you.

Go to https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-passportretrieve.asp that’s the link we used.

just put his passport number it will let you know if it is ready for pick up. Or better still do the other option of sending his passport number as an email then you will get a reply.

Go straight to the address the interviewer gave you and pick up your passport. I didn’t get any notification either and I have picked up mine.

When you tracked it, what did it say before you went there to pick it up?

Hey everyone, update from today’s interview.

My husband was approved however the trump ban is in full effect and though his passport was kept to be stamped he got a white letter and was told it was because of the ban that he wouldn’t get it back right away. People who were denied got blue letters. This is so sad but hopefully soon the ban will be lifted and his passport will be given.

Thanks for all the prayers.

This is good news, meaning they might notify him anytime soon to come pick his passport with visa.

Don't be sad, it is as simple as he was approved for a waiver and even if the ban wasn't lifted, he can still get his visa issued.
