You can send an expedite e-mail request to NVCExpedite@state.gov.  They actually get back to you reasonable quickly.  They'll need the following info in the letter:

Request for NVC Expedite: Case ID

Petitioner:

DOB:

Tel:

Beneficiary:

DOB:

NVC Case ID:

Tel:

Body

I don't know, if I should do that or wait for my congress office to response. I told them the story, here is what they said.

Our office has submitted an inquiry and expedite request to the National Visa Center. We have included both the USCIS confirmation email, as well as the screenshot you have provided. As soon as we receive a response I will update you accordingly.

Best thing to do.  Someone on another forum I'm on had the same issue.  They were attempting to upgrade the petition after USCIS approval, through NVC and it caused a headache.  I suspect you may have to resend your citizenship certificate or a copy of your US passport.

We upgraded before we made it through USCIS.  It shouldn't have taken as long as it has if USC get unlimited spousal visas, but here we are...still.

I asked that lady, that do you need my naturalization #. She said, no we have all that in our system. SOB! I m upset. 6 ppl got their IL today. they were offcourse IR-1& CR-1. I become USC before i-130 approval. after I upgraded my petition, my petition was approved faster & everything moving fast. what the heck is C21 wait time anyways.

@mam521

Here is what it says on NVC site.

Email (immigrant visa inquiries only)Public Inquiry Form
(Note:  the NVC is unable to respond to nonimmigrant visa inquiries by email or fax. Please see our Contact Us page for contact information.) As of 3-FEB-2020, we are responding to emails received on 10-DEC-2019. We will update this information every week. We ask that you make a subsequent inquiry only if you do not receive a response to your email within our published timeframe above. Duplicate inquiries slow our ability to respond to you in a timely manner.

Congress office responses within 4-5 days.

Do you think I should be CR-1 or C21 or IR-1

my brother has Been married > 3 yrs. his was already IR-1

no one talks about C21 here. Did you see F2A visa bulletin board. They are on Nov 2019. My PD was in May 2018. Either way I should be IL

I called NVC like 22x, now I think I'm in line to speak.

So, what should I ask them to do? expedite? Do you think my congress office request is better based on the their response below? or should I send my own email request to expedite? I don't want to duplicate efforts here.  do you know how long it takes to expedite request get approved/disapproved and next steps. I know my congress office will have response back in 4 days. I just don't want them to say, yea it was an error and submit email to NVCExp..... But I think their response shows that they submitted docs for expedite. but that just a guess

Our office has submitted an inquiry and expedite request to the National Visa Center. We have included both the USCIS confirmation email, as well as the screenshot you have provided. As soon as we receive a response I will update you accordingly.
