CSC has stopped responding to emails - they respond with a generic "we don't respond to email from the public" email.

Its the luck of the draw whether you get a reply or not - check out some of the other forums because CSC sometimes email and they sometimes do not. The trick to getting a reply is being clear and concise with your question, and including all verifiable information (full name, "a" number, receipt/MSC number, date of birth etc)

they say they don't reply, but they do...

I emailed CSC six times during the month of May while we were trying to figure out the status of my husband's AOS. I never got a single response. I suppose you could say we were one of the unlucky ones. I gave them every piece of information about my husband...everything. I kept copies of each email I sent just in case I did hear something to the effect of..."we don't have enough information about the person"...so I could prove I DID give them all the information they needed. I guess it was a case of not wanting to deal with me. :D

We are in the same boat, as my wife mentioned. We are in contact with both Senators offices and our Congressional Rep. Plus we have filled for a service request because we are "outside of normal processing times"

I would recommend maintaining as much correspondence as you can, this is the only thing you can actually control in this process.

All of what we did can in handy when I spoke with the chief of staff for B. Boxer Sen.(D) Calif. He tried to treat me like I did not know what I was doing and when I rattled off what was done so far and how his staff were not doing everything they could as required, he got some letters out immediately. We still got the "pending" FBI name check letter, but it is one more piece of paper in the file to prove we have done everything we could.

This helps keep a little peace in the house, but I will warn you. There are times when we look at all the paper and get mad that we have to go to these extremes.

Having my wife with me here in America makes it all worth it.
