How many days?

I just got my 2 year conditional green card last week. How long should i wait to be able to get unrestricted SSN without the hassle of being turned away by SSA because their system doesnt have my name yet? Sorry i have to ask this. I already did a research but cant find the answer. Thanks for those who will reply.

We waited two weeks after AOS, just to be safe, and had no problems. They sent us a new card about 10 days later with the "Not authorized to work" removed.

Give it a few weeks,

The green-card is "Work Authorization" so if you do have to show the card to an employer, just show them the green-card.

There is no hurry to run down to get that notation removed.

Yeah, but some people would freak out when they see that on the SS card, not understanding the full ability of the green card. We wanted one with that authorization part removed. Just made it easier.
