And even more specifically, who has been "approved" (I agree, red herring), and gotten a new appointment. I am concerned we aren't getting new appointment because we're approved.

I fear you are right.  It's like the computer says "bypass biometrics and approve X."  And then the computer says "Cannot process card for X without biometrics."  And finally the computer tells itself "Do not schedule X for biometrics as they have been bypassed."  It's a hamster wheel.  And people are getting excited about an "approval" that is meaningless and quite possibly even harming chances of getting the card.

Confusion is running rampant in the government so USCIS is included in that. Even their own polices coupled with this Covad pandemic makes matters to an already confusing system even worse. It's not just you folks that are confused it's all of us. Example, we were one of the ones that received an AOS interview wavier back in April this year, GC is  in hand since April, but we have an interview scheduled for August 6th so go figure, we have no choice but to roll with the flow as we are all at the mercy of USCIS for now.

I shared this because I wanted you all to know that confusion exist at all levels of our visa journeys. Just because you have a GC or EAD you are not exempt from confusion we are still all in the woods. I do feel your pain I've been there myself.

I understand, I get it, but there still has to be a recognition of the frustration felt here, especially as we hear different things not only between different agents in the same agency, but also lawyers and other applicants who are all saying different things. Also, it;s a little more sensitive when it comes to work and advanced parole. My wife cannot work or go see her newborn niece because the ASC have been closed for 4 months and won't give any transparency as to why we haven't been rescheduled.

I understand  your frustrations, I'm on your side I was just acknowledging that the government does little to ease our concerns. We all just have to grin and bare it I guess!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

Seems like y'all didn't heard about that USCIS ended the contract with the company in KY who printed the cards for them and is now solely doing everything in house in Lee Lee Sumit !? That's the reason why the card production is suddenly so backlogged. Many get approved but they simply can't print cards as fast as they would have too.

Did you have biometrics? When did it say "we ordered your new card"?
