That's exciting! Do you mind sharing your timeline and whether or not you requested to expedite it?

My i485 is "waiting for interview" as well but for my i765, it's just showing that my fingerprints have been applied to the case on 3/13 but nothing has changed since 😕 Hoping your timeline would give me some clarification on when to expect an update.

Can you provide some additional information regarding the info you provided regarding your expedite request? Did you also show severe financial hardship, or only job offer + letter from HR?

Thanks a lot! I'm very happy and relieved that my EAD is finally on its way.

I'm currently working  in US on a J-1 visa, however my funding period is ending at the end of this month. After I found a new job I decided to expedite due to financial hardship. I argued that the loss of my current job was a substantial financial burden for my family, and that I need my EAD to accept a new job offer to offset this financial loss. My new employer couldn't provide me with a job offer without an EAD, but my email communication with the HR was enough for convince USCIS to approve my case.

I hope this helps. I'm surprised by how fast everything got approved. Good luck!

Here's my timeline:

Sent I-485,I-765,I-131 , together with my K2 - Feb21

NOA - Feb 27 (except for I-765 - USCIS told me they never received my I-765)

Biometrics for I485 - Mar17

Resent I-765 - Mar 18

NOA for I765 - Mar24

Re-use fingerprint for I765 - Apr7

I485 Waiting for interview - Apr 21

I-765, I-131 approval - Jun 22

I didn't request USCIS to expedite my I765. I just waited and I got approved. My son's applications haven't been approved yet though so once I got the acceptance letter, I'm going to give them a call and ask for my son's status.

Good luck!!!

Where do you check your case status?
When I go to the egov Uscis website it only shows me „fingerprint fee was received“. Is there a better way to track the case with more in depth information?

I got my Biometrics appointment letter back in March, but couldn’t go because of corona. Since then nothing.

Hopefully only that it is closed for the weekend!?! But maybe it's a glitch or maybe it is related to the spike of covid cases? Hoping for the best, but personally not too optimistic 😕
