Also per the new guidelines, for those awaiting green card interview appointments, you will need to bring your own pen and potentially a mask. No idea when they will start send out those notices or even EAD approvals.

EAD approvals happened all the time during those last weeks.

A mask and an ink pen should not be a big deal to bring for anyone, but as what was already stated USCIS has been approving EADs big time, even during this time.

Hi guys, it seems USCIS is getting ready to reopen for in person interviews starting June 4th instead of prolonging the closure again. Good news for all of us who are waiting to do biometrics :) No walk ins though, we have to wait for new biometrics appointments by mail according to the website, and will only be allowed into the building fifteen minutes prior to the appointment. And of course there will be rules for social distancing, we'll have to bring masks etc. Fingers crossed all field offices will be able to reopen, so that all of our applications can start progressing again!

The ASC will resume Services later. So I guess no Biometrics for now.

Don't let this get you down, you may be one of the lucky ones who get the RFE then the approval for i485 without interview... this happened to a few others!

I got a mail saying that the USCIS conducted an initial review, and saying that I need to bring I-693 on the day of the interview (or, if for any reason I can get a waiver of an interview, I need to submit it over mail.)

There's nothing changed on "My Cases page" page so that doesn't need to be disappointed for those who haven't get any update from the USCIS.

And, I agree with @PatrickKD's comment that ASC won't open on June 4th.

And, I believe AOS in Minneapolis won't open in a timely manner even if other AOSs will open on June 4th. lol

I've lived here Minneapolis-St. Paul area over 10 years, but I haven't a chance to place in the center of such a hot issue, even a far more than Super Bowl LII.

There's a posting on the Reddit saying that (s)he called the USCIS and confirmed AOSs won't open on June 4th.

They said they will possibly open on June 22nd.

I'm not sure how credible the posting is.

@Letspaintcookies @Sarge2155 Good to know. I wish I were one of them. We've received no updates on our EAD since my husband's March 2nd biometrics.

Nothing received yet for us. We had one scheduled just before they stopped taking face to face and then had to reschedule, which they did during the closures. Waiting for them to reschedule again now. Hopefully we'll get a letter this week but I expect it can take up to two weeks to receive an appointment letter. Given that they confirmed they were opening on Wednesday/Thursday I'd expect we receive a new letter by Jun 11th.

Hey guys! Can you give some insight about my RFE?

they are asking for my spouse’s “most recent tax return (2018)”

which i’m pretty sure i included. We haven’t however filed yet for 2019.. i’m wondering if they want that?

do i go ahead and file for the 2019 one or just submit the 2018 one again since that’s the only thing they asked for?

thank you.
