Hey Peeps,

Any updates? My case status still says "Ready to Be scheduled for an interview". I'm hoping for a quick response or at least the EAD card.

That is great news, good for you!
No updates for this girl. Wishing you a speedy EAD

Absolutely! We're not getting excited though, as we haven't completed biometrics yet.

I got an RFE due to insufficient tax forms (they wrote the sponsor does not have sufficient income). Paystubs from 2020 + letter from employer show that currently more than enough income is made (over $30k). However the last tax forms 2018 were before employment started.

Could the RFE be simply die to missing W2s and 1099s (only submitted 1040)? I've read about people being accepted in the same situation.

The 2018 also has tax exempt interest - is this considered income or assets? I have to know what to write in the gross income and how much assets to supplement just in case.

If you only sent the 1040 then yes, that's probably the problem. The tax return needs to be accompanied by all the other stuff like W2s, 1099s... that's why it's better to send the IRS tax transcripts.

Due to the missing stuff your sponsors income was seen as zero and that's why they say the income is not sufficient even if you sent all this other paperwork.

Do you know how many pages of the 1099 should be submitted? Or which pages?

And is there a point in submitting 1099 and W2 for 2019 without the 1040? The income on those is much higher.

Holy mackerel!  :) I was getting really worried about my case status not updating after I did biometrics on March 17. Today I checked the old website, which I thought was no longer updated, and voila! Fingerprints taken, ready to be scheduled for an interview both for me and my daughter. Honestly, if I could dance, I would :) So, it's a good idea to check both my.uscis.gov and egov.uscis.gov

Honestly I only use the old site. The new one still lists my I 129f as received 😂

What’s the difference between the two? Do they provide different information?

They should provide the same information but for many they don't. The old site was supposed to phase out but so far never did. Some get updates on the new, some on the old, some on both and some on neither site 😂 you have to love USCIS 😉

This might not be the right place to ask, but -- do any of you know how to go about applying for emergency AP, and if its possible during this time? I have received news that a family member back home (in Canada) is very unwell (non-COVID related) and has been admitted to the hospital. I want to be prepared in advance, should her condition deteriorate, so I know how to quickly apply if necessary.

As well -- do any of you have thoughts regarding the border? I know it is currently closed to all but "essential" traffic, but I would think this counts. Do you think I'd have a problem getting back into the USA? I'm weighing the options and appreciate input.
