My wife case was just approved. We filed in February. It’s strange because there wasn’t a interview. She just got the notification on the USCIS app. Anyone similar?

There  are several threads about interview  waviers on this site, there have been several people that got approved without an interview.

Did you get biometrics done before COVID?

Yes we did biometrics in early March. We also had to submit a RFE in the beginning of April. And now we just got the message of approval.

That’s awesome! Congrats!

Anyone else stuck in this limbo process of receiving a noa1 after their office closure date? I'm sure I'm not the only one lol ..recieved my texts on the 20th and the letters on the 27th but no scheduled dates for obvious reasons.  I guess we are just hoping that they schedule us an interview after everything re opens?

Same boat here. It’s all about whether things actuallY open on May 3. And it’s why I have been wondering on here for the last few weeks if different States will open offices at different times?  For example, if Trump says “open the Federal offices” is it still possible that Georgia opens right away but California stays closed for another two months?

Yes it’s on the April 1st announcement on the USCIS website. Not only that, but the May 4th reopening date matches the day congress is back in session. So in my opinion May 4th is a date USCIS offices will reopen with new measures regarding social distancing and safety.

Let's  hope that is the case!

I’m so confused. When I just went to USCIS site it said they are closed until at least June 4. That would not be good news. Am I reading something wrong?

Yup. June 4th. Luckily, interviews are not needed for EADs and perhaps they’ll keep waiving interviews until then 🤷🏻‍♀️
