I'm one of the ppl who send their package on the 23rd with fedex but I havent heard anything yet.

What form did everyone use (i-485 edition date)

I used edition date 07/15/19. Sent via USPS Priority mail on 02/22/2020, and arrived there on 02/26/2020. Haven't heard anything yet either.

In your case I believe they might reject it, unfortunately, as it would have arrived there on the 24th or after. This because UPS and private couriers don't postmark.

I filled the same edition date

And correct they don't postmark. They said the receipt will count as postmark date

Mine was rejected too, I even included the Fedex receipt and highlighted the date February 23,  2019 12:23 pm.

So I'm going to start working on the I-944 and submit new forms.

Good luck to everyone.

That sounds like a lot of BS! The USCIS rules were very clear, and you very clearly followed them. Mine got rejected too, and I have been thinking "if I only included the receipt in the package"... I guess it wouldn't have made a difference!

Are there really no one on hear who have successfully appealed a USCIS rejection?? I get that normally it's a lot easier to just refile it and not fight the USCIS, but in this case the extra burden of the I-944 (and supporting docs) is significant. 😕

Concurrent I-485/I-130/I-765/I-131 Filing (married to USC spouse):

2/23/2020: Sent in application via FedEx (following rules before new Public Charge rule)

2/25/2020: Arrived in Chicago, IL

3/24/2020: Refiled application with new forms including I-944
3/25/2020: Arrived in Chicago, IL (received by Harper)

4/13/2020: Received 4 late-night texts with case numbers
4/14/2020: Application fee withdrawn from my bank account

4/17/2020: Received hard copies of Receipt NOAs (I-797Cs)
4/17/2020: Requested EAD expedite
4/20/2020: EAD expedite request denied: Case in "in suspense or on hold until we receive your biometrics" +  did not provide evidence of "extreme emergent need"
8/1/2020: Received biometrics appointment notice (for I-485 and I-765)
8/11/2020: Biometrics appointment at the ASC in Sacramento, CA

8/12/2020: Online case status for I-485 and I-765 updated to "fingerprints related to ... have been applied to your case"

8/17/2020: Online case status for I-131 updated to "fingerprints related to ... have been applied to your case"

9/10/2020: Online case status for I-765 updated to "Card was mailed to me"

9/14/2020: Received my combo EAD card (work authorization and advanced parole)
8/13/2021: Filed renewal application for both I-131 and I-765
11/9/2021: Filed expedite request for both I-131 due to sick father in Norway
12/15/2021: Received email from USCIS for supportive documents (after multiple calls)
12/17/2021: Sent in supportive documents (letter from doctor, hospital appointment notices ++)
12/22/2021: Status changed to "card being produced" (letter on MyUSCIS.com confirms this will be a combo card)

Yes just resend them, those markings are USCIS specific and they will understand  what they mean.

Our Biometrics letter came with appointment for 3/25. (I’m sure that will change as Coronavirus continues to disrupt systems and life, but the letter came.)

I almost hesitate sharing this news since so many on here are getting hit with rejections right now.🙁

Hopefully this info helps others compare and evaluate their own timelines.

Hello everyone,

I came to Boston on a K1 visa and arrived on February 3rd. We got married on the 8th and submitted the application on the 25th. I haven't received any receipt number yet and our cash was not cashed out. I am worried about the new rules and new forms but they did not inform us of anything new. Our form was the 07/15/2019 version and the expiration date  07/31/2021. I called them today and they said e-mail the USCIS LockBox but they haven't replied yet.

Can anyone assist me on this? Do I need to file everything again? Tomorrow will complete 3 weeks since we sent it and they havent reached out so I am starting to get concern about this.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Since you submitted the application on the 25th the version date you need was 10/15/19 (i.e. the form that was live on the USCIS website the date you submitted it). Your packet will most likely be refused and send back to you as it was received with the instruction to send it in again but with the correct forms (including I944).

Upside is that it won't cost you your filing fees if it's refused.

I’m guessing they had cashed your cheques already though, correct?

Tomorrow will mark 3 weeks since USCIS received our application (mailed via USPS Priority on 02/22 and received 02/25), and we’ve had no movement. No cheques cashed, no notifications, no returned packages.

Thank you for the update though!!

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️
