Do you mind sharing your interview questions please?

She went through the i485 application..clarifying my date of birth ..name...same with.my husband (usc)...she took a photocopy of my passport...she then proceeded to go through all the like security questions from the application about if i was a member of organisations etc..after that it was just a conversation about how.my husband and I met and the progression of our relationship...im 8 months pregnant currently and was extremely overheated in the office with the mask on so she asked if I was ok numerous times...she asked if I was working and I explained why i wasnt currently but that i planned to be by around Feb...it was just like a conversation but my husband and I are both chatty kathys so i reckon we answered a lot of her questions before she asked them about each other's in laws being super excited for the baby to arrive and all that kinda stuff. We were not asked for any like evidence of co mingling of finances or anything like that despite the fact I brought a bunch but we did give her an updated employer letter for my husbands job that she took...soon after that she said she was going to 100%  approve us and she went on to explain about removal of conditions etc and I signed a sheet confirmed i acknowledged this and that was it. I spent the entire 3hr drive home in a state of shock that it was over

I'm just so disappointed and scared for what all of this says about USCIS and its future -- I thought it was supposed to be better after the funding came through, but apparently not. I also just received a duplicate notice for biometrics with the exact same date and time as the one I've already completed, which is stamped and signed already. It took a total of 3 online reps and a collective two hours just to change my mailing address, because their online form wouldn't work for me. On top of that all of our online statuses have just suddenly stopped updating, which (I imagine) only increases the number of calls being made to the call centres, which were already inaccessible prior to all of the changes they've made to the automated system.

It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion.. just keeps getting worse.

Congratulations on the approval, @Nativequeen, forgot to mention that bit in my ranting 😅

Thank you @LilyKins!!! And trust me I understand the rant. This process has that affect on you.

I submitted a processing time inquiry since I filled in February and got my biometrics 2 weeks ago

They reply today:

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Your Case Status: Initial Review

As of October 13, 2020, fingerprints relating to your Form I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, Receipt Number MSC, have been applied to your case.

They also said that they will send a biometrics appointment but I already had one. Does anyone knows what that “initial review” means?

Thank you!

@NataBubu It took almost 2 months for my husband to get approved after his biometrics. Some people have seen similar timelines and others received their approval with 1-2 weeks. So it varies. Best advice, keep calling and try to reach out to your Senator. We didn’t see any movement until our Senator got involved.

I tried my senator and they are from the red party. No help at all

@mvasantos that’s really unfortunate! I’m sorry to hear that.

I was expecting that already, I'm sure if I asked how to leave the country they'd be really helpful lol

Hi February peeps!  What is the general time we are finding between getting the YOU ARE READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR YOUR INTERVIEW and the ACTUAL interview?

Ironically, we actually are hoping it takes awhile. My wife's passport was expiring in a few days, so the second she got her combo card, she went home to get her passport (long story of why she could not do it from the USA since my dog literally ate her passport years ago and she had to get a temporary passport, but I digress ...)

Of course, the second she got to Canada, we received the "You are ready to be scheduled" email.

1.  If this runs like the rest of the process, it means her actual interview is probably 6 months away.

2.  Also, if this runs like the rest of this process, it means that the email notification comes weeks and weeks or months and months after it should.
