Actually my lawyer advised me to go to the appointment, bring the last appointment letter with the stamp from biometrics. And ask there if it's really needed.

He said it's the safest and best thing to do.

I guess I wanted to talk to a tier 2 agent about this because I feel like I'm taking someone else opportunity to do Biometrics, because I already did mine once. But I will not risk my chances

Thats good to know, yeah im going to wait for my lawyer to speak to uscis and also hear back from tier 2,  unless i receive a letter saying my appt was cancelled im def going to show up there with my parents im not taking any risk lol its already been a long wait lol to let it get hurt by this  :)

Same  issue here my parents who also have the EAD/AP combo card already since  sept 2020 they received a biometrics appt for nov for AP , not sure why i called uscis they put in a request to speak to a tier 2 as well within 7 business day , our lawyer said we shouldn't worry and we shouldn't have to go if they already have it but he will also reach out to uscis , it looks like it might be an error on their part. Ill keep you guys posted if i hear back :)

I'm in the same boat, too. Just opened my letter. The day they want me to attend the appointment is the day I am supposed to start work! Ahhhh.

Hi everyone! I’ve had my EAD/AP for quite some time now and i have been busy getting a state ID and job hunting 😂 but now i just received a biometrics appointment for my AP for the first week of November. Do i reaaaaaaaally have to go? I don’t see the point 🙈

Me too! Are you going to go? I called USCIS and am supposed to have a rep call me back. I'm supposed to start working the day of my appointment. So frustrating!!!

Got my aos interview at 9am tomorrow. I am soooooooo excited/nervous. I have a folder containing all the requested documents from the appointment notice but I am also bringing my folder that has everything going back to when we started the whole k1 process(yes I hoard) My husband (usc) is cool as a cucumber where as im here looking over everything with a fine toothcomb going over every possibility and just praying I dont go into labour in the interview(over 8 months pregnant) ..lol wish us luck everyone...im so looking forward to having a year or 2 break from the paperwork after this.

Best of luck! From what I have read morning slots are the best and interview are going into who you are and how you met. I’m sure you will do great and get that 2 year break from the craziness.

Hi all!

I'm in the same boat as some of you guys: already have my EAD/AP combo card and started work three weeks ago, but now I received a NOA for biometrics for the AP. What a mess, I wish they had given that slot to someone who actually still needs biometrics!

Tried to call USCIS today for clarification, but can't get past the robo voice to talk to an actual human being, robo lady just keeps confirming that my AP has been approved and gives all sorts of tips on what to bring or not to bring to biometrics appointments in general, then hangs up on me. Does anyone have a tip how I can get past that, or am I using the wrong number maybe?

Unless I can manage to get a human who tells me I don't need to go, I guess I'm taking a day off work to drive four hours for an unneccessary biometrics appointment then... Immigration just continues to be sooo much fun lol

@NKDL wow that was quick! Good luck tomorrow!!!!

Hey guys -- I know that MyUSCIS had an outage for many of us last week, but has anyone been able to get online updates since? I finished my biometrics last Wednesday and then got a text and an email that there was an update to my case (I found out through Emma that it was stating fingerprints applied to all cases, which is great!). I got another text and email this morning saying there had been another update, but I still can't see any changes online. Anyone else in the same boat?

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️
